Agents who agree with you are smart, while the ones that don't are stupid.
and
The more the evidence does not support McCoy, the more convinced you are that he's the guy.

Those are novel approaches. You might have better luck just stalking the daughter on social media.

I was not talking about agents. And I am not the only one that believes it could have been McCoy. Of the suspects, he is my pick.  But then there is the chance its someone that has not been discovered.   I still give it more than 50% that McCoy was Cooper. But like I have stated, I am not 100%.  The one I will give zero possibility to is the trans gender.  And so many that have lied.  Its really incredible to me that one would like to a loved on on their death bed.  Who does that?  So back to McCoy, if the eye witness testimomy is powerful to you or others, then how about the family saying it was McCoys tie so quickly.  Not just the tie but the clip?  No that is not enough to nail this down.  Nothing is. The cigarettes.  Ah those cigarettes were the smoking gun.  Stupid FBI agents.

First, please understand that when I make comments like that, I make them tongue-in-cheek and in good-natured jest. My hope was that you would get a chuckle out of that. I know that can be hard to tell, I can be somewhat dry, but enough people get testy and aggro with each other, I have no desire for that. Everyone is here due to a common shared interest, which makes all of you okay in my book.

As to a few of your points... Who lies to their loved ones on their death bed? Apparently Duane Weber? I get a chuckle at what might have been going through his mind when he said that to Jo. McCoy's family recognizing the tie? Blevins has somebody recognizing the tie as Kenny C's. That's a pretty standard tie and clip combo, I can only imagine how many sets of identical or similar ones were out there. Hell, I think I had a similar set up, but I was eleven at the time, so don't go thinking I was Coop. As for the group of favored suspects, I tend to be in the 'none of the above' camp.

And you may very well be correct that its none of the above.  Its going to be like Jack the Ripper, except Cooper was not a homicidal maniac.  But solving the Ripper case?  Now they are leaning toward that psycho based on a flimsy DNA test and I am more on the side of the Swedish journalist who thinks it was Charles Allen Lechmere I believe was his name.  I know Lechmere is in there.  He puts him at every crime scene.  Back to Cooper, its going to be near impossible to solve unless he is out there alive and old. And Weber is one of several lying in this case.  Oh, or if he was McCoy, which I lean towards a bit after Gryder's very impressive presentation.  I am just waiting for Gryder to put out his 2nd video which I believe he promised did he not?  I find the daughter credible. I do not really trust the son.  He looks like he just got out of Leavenworth or Lewisburg!  LOL

Don't hold your breath. I doubt Gryder stays around the vortex very long. He said his piece, I think he's done.

Personally I hope Mr. Griner sticks around. Although I don't buy into his choice of suspects, I really enjoy his videos!

I do not discount his theory either.  He has Richard's kids on the record about it also.

I find the daughter credible.

Just keep in mind, as a completely objective point, that someone does not have to be lying in order to be wrong. Someone can earnestly believe something, and their testimony will be honest and credible. That does not preclude them from being mistaken or wrong.

As for someone who probably was lying...

...Weber...

I think most people have convincingly excluded him from being Cooper. So what was he thinking? Was he just a jokester? Was this his last shot at pulling one over on his wife, dropping that in her lap on his way out? Remember, she said that at the time she didn't know what he was talking about. But, then she recalled trips they supposedly went on, visiting Cooper related sites, and things he said that now made sense to her. Maybe he was just always fascinated with the case. Maybe he knew her tenacity, and figured if he left her with that, maybe she would be the one to figure it out. Curious situation, that...

Its just so strange that so many lies have been told in this case.  Anyway, I am of the belief that if Cooper was someone on the known list of supects, he was Richard Floyd McCoy.  Otherwise, we do not know who he is.  Some are solidly convinced it was Reca or Rackstraw.  I think Rackstraw loved the attention.  Just my opinion from what i have seen of him.  You can look at the composite sketch and conclude it looks like McCoy or Sheridan.  I think those two fit the sketch the best.  But Flo is the weak link in all of this. She wants nothing  to do with it. Whats up with that? And she is all over the  place when she is drawn in by a big name channel, that was likely the only way they could lure her in.  She is the only one that really looked at him without the sunglass's they say?  Some here are so damn obsessed with this case its just like the Ripper or Zodiac.  Ulis jumped down my  throat because I did not know he had 7 up instead of club soda.  If someone orders a bourbon and soda, soda means CLUB SODA PAL.  Been around drinkers and drank long enough to know bar lingo.  It does not mean 7 up.  No way.  So if you got 7 up it means they likely had no damn club soda.  Stuff like this is just an example of the madness going on.  I do not think this gets solved barring a miracle.    The Ripper case is over a hundred years old and they still work on it. I believe its one of those two guys they have.  Zodiac?  I would like to hear more from the guy that studies it here. Its another crazy one and so is Jon Bonet.  I am now convinced Mr Ramsey planted that hair to throw the dogs off of his wife and son.  I think the kid did it. I think the mother absolutely wrote the ransom note.  Lots of crazy cases.  Carry on.

Just a reminder that the real Cooper almost certainly isn't going to be a dead-ringer for any of the sketches.  8)

There's a 302 where a stewardess (her name is removed but the interview subject is described as a stewardess from Minnesota .... Tina? Alice Hancock?) requested permission to view the Facial Identification Catalog and "immediately" picked out number KK5-1 stating "that is him, except for the ears and hair." It goes on to say that she was adamant that the artist's sketch shown to her was not a good likeness of the hijacker.

I'm not sure if there are different versions of the "Facial Identification Catalog." I found these on just a quick Google search =

1.) Is there one universal catalog or different versions?

2.) Has anyone here actually seen one of these catalogs? And specifically number KK5-1?

Would be curious to see what that particular face looks like that the stewardess was so adamant about. (And apologies if this has been discussed here before; I searched the site for "KK5-1" and didn't turn up any results)

The 302 is from part 72, page 49; dated Dec. 2, 1971.

KK5-1 was one of the images on a post at worthpoint.com, referencing an old eBay offer. In my version, I lowered the hairline and flattened the ears (as per the stewardess's description) and added turkey neck (as per passenger in Seat 18A).

I see a lot of similarities with Braden there and with the Flo sketch as well. Very jowely (is that even a word?)
