No, in fact the file was surprisingly thin, and was composed mostly of newspaper articles.

My understanding is that the FBI got the 14 most-intact bills, and the remainder were split evenly between Global Indemnity and the Ingrams. What I'd really like to know is how the Ingrams split the bills between themselves. Who got the moolah and how much?

yup. and how many bills were passed to non-ingrams, over time.
we know of  one that surfaced recently, right.

The "lost" Global Indemnity bills, are the backstory for my counterfeit bill plan.
See, rather than having a story that gets compared to "known" details...I do a story where it's guaranteed the relevant details don't exist any more.
Ka-Ching!

Im surprised the Ingrams were allowed to gain on this.  After all this was a ransom and a robbery.  So even though they found some of the money, do they really have a right to it?  I am surprised they were allowed to keep any.  But it was not "spendable" right?  They only sold it as souvenir money?  Because of the fame of the case?  This place has certainly died down since Dan Gryder put out that video.

A couple things DB Fan:

1. This forum goes through fallow periods. We're clearly in one at the moment.
2. So, who do you propose should get the money? The people who found it? The people who insured it? The FBI who asked to store the bills in case of an emergency and needed hard evidence to pursue their case? The US Taxpayers who underwrote the stockpiling?

I submit that giving a hefty share to the Ingrams did more to advance the case than any other option. If the Ingrams hadn't received their allotment, where would be right now? Do you think the FBI would test for diatoms? How about Global Indemnity - what have they done with their stash? Kept it on a shelf in the CEO's bedroom?

Nope. It was a soggy, compressed, dense mess of green paper with lots of funny numbers printed on it...
