I am not convinced that the CIA actually did recruit at Elsinore. Jumpers like to spin stories. Dudeman have you seen any evidence supporting that claim?

I never saw or heard anything that would indicate any active recruiting. I was acquainted with a couple of people I suspected may have worked for them, but they were veterans who were just there as active jumpers.

How about you dudeman. Would you have taken a CIA job if offered?

I'd like to think that I would not have. There would be a lot to consider. Sure, it's fun to watch the movies and fantasize about high adventure and intrigue, but how real is that? And even if it were, how much of your job would be that adventure versus more mundane stuff or just dirty pool. And would you even get a 'Bond' slot, or would you end up doing research or support stuff. And I suppose you wouldn't know that until you were in training and testing, then it would probably be too late to back out. And 'walking in the dark', would you really want to be a lie to your closest loved ones. Would you be allowed to have close loved ones. And normal military combat aside, would you really want a job description that might actually include assassinating people. How would your feelings about that change over time, under different administrations whose policies you might agree or disagree with? So yeah, it might be interesting to consider, but ultimately I would hope to have said no. But if you got the offer when you were young, eager, and naive...

Cooper Rumor Dep't

I hear that Thomas Colbert is expanding his operation, too. As we move into ETs, Bigfoot and  "high strangeness," he's taking his Cold Case Team and turning them into a Cold Case Breaking outfit.

Their focus at the moment includes Jimmy Hoffa, the Zodiac Killer, missing kids, and of course, doubling-down on DBC. He's now characterizing Rackstraw as a former contract pilot for the CIA. Reminds me a little of Walter Reca.

I'm a little surprised that TJC hasn't posted his news here. I guess he's giving up on us being a part of his investigation, such as it is.

Thoughtful reply to the CIA question Dudeman. I think we are on the same page.

I have fond memories of jumping at Elsinore in the 1970s. Taft too. I was in LA for a long criminal trial and jumped now and then for stress relief. It’s a remarkably effective remedy, at least for me.

As per my dream. A time-traveling, inter-dimensional escape. Page 369, DB Cooper and the FBI.

Good to see that folks in Hollywood are reading my book! Or at least watching my videos.

Ha, In the picture of 'Cooper' in that article, I think the ripcord handle is in the pocket backwards. The wide end of the trapezoid should be in the pocket, the narrow end out.

I agree - absolutely effective stress relief. I'm currently having fond memories of jumping at Elsinore today...

Lyle Cameron pretty much ran what was then called Lake Elsinore paracenter through out the 60’s and was one of the early pioneers of the sport. Lyle Cameron also happens to be one of the last 2 people Jack Ruby called right before he offed Oswald. I’ve spoken with lyles family and friends who all believe he was cia. There were agents apparently spotted at his funeral. The key Elsinore witness report in the fbi 302’s come from Cameron. As he described a man showing up at the DZ smoking Raleigh’s matching the description and asking questions about how to jump out of a jet. They described him as a geeky looking old guy. According to the story he approached Lyle and a few other guys that were around him. In a more recently released 302 regarding the report. Lyle clarifies by saying he didn’t see him actually smoking Raleigh’s but noticed he had the coupons and joked with him about reddening them for a PC. What a cia asset doing calling the feds making a cooper report? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Covid is still very active. one of the owners of one of the companies I work for tested positive for covid a couple weeks ago. her sister also tested positive. both went about a week saying they felt like crap and complained of headaches etc.

This Saturday I was told that one went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and was given an IV to counter the infection. they told the other sister to also come in and receive treatment to prevent an infection.

By the end of the day. the sister with the bacterial infection changed to pneumonia but was released the next day. the other sister also took a dive claiming shortness of breath. she is currently on oxygen and scared of what's happening according to her text to me yesterday. Today her heart rate dropped along with the oxygen level but the doctors told her they want try and get her up "to get her lungs to cooperate"

This is the first case I've seen surrounding people I know that had to be admitted into the hospital due to this virus. it hits home quickly. I've been a little skeptical in getting the shots along with believing I was subject to the virus in December of 2019. I've decided to go to the pharmacy at our local grocery and get my shot. there is no waiting, and will take no time to get. several on this forum have fallen victim to this virus and know it's not something you wish on anyone. why take the risk? I spoke with Eric yesterday about this. he said less than half the country hasn't got the shots yet...I no longer wish to be part of that statistic....

As I mentioned to Shutter yesterday, Covid isn't going anywhere. It's going to always be around especially considering the amount of people deciding not to get vaccinated.

This means that eventually--probably within a year--every person in the United States is going to come into contact with Covid. There is simply no way to avoid it. Now it's either going to be on your terms--safely vaccinated--or on Covid's terms in which case you're rolling the dice with your life and health.

The moral of the story: Get the damn vaccine.
Some men see things as they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

I had the second Covid shot last Friday.  While I did not have ANY reaction from the first shot, I did have a sore arm with slight swelling and felt under the weather for a day or two from the second shot.  But both shots were well worth it.

People who are doubters about the virus and the vaccine should keep in mind there were doubters about smoking causing cancer.  But there is a famous saying that "cancer cures smoking".  Unfortunately, the virus doubters will become believers when they contact the virus and that may be too late.

I applaud all of you who have gotten vaxxed. I got my second Moderna shot in February, and nowadays I'm walking around like normal - shopping, going over to dinner with friends, etc. It's great to feel so protected.

The anti-vaxers are a strange group, and I'm concerned that they will prove to be a pool for the virus to get nastier over time. It's also amplifying all the tensions in the country. Seattle is 70% vaxed, but Alabama is far from that number.

Earlier today, a doctor on TV pointed out that the southern anti-vax states were hard hit by the virus last summer.  And he predicted that the same would be true this summer.
