In accordance with Section 25(a) of the ProBoards Terms of Service, this forum has been taken offline.

Apparently, he started another forum....

And it has now vanished also.

Hopefully, Mr. Blevins will finally learn a lesson. it's doubtful since he's lying about the takedown stating it was "minor content" that got him shutdown, really, that's all it takes to have your whole forum taken offline

His father sums it all up for him, smart man!

Sadly, I don't think our "pilot friend" was being truthful. he hasn't responded to me in a couple weeks. probably pulled a "Blevins" full of shit... would of been nice to hear from someone who had the expertise he claimed to have.

Too bad. I was looking forward to his learned participation. Was also intrigued by his experience in "Big Doug" propliners, DC 6, 7 etc. Don Burnworth was a highly skilled DC 7 pilot.

Years ago I looked up and conversed with a retired NWA 727 instructor pilot. He helped quash the rumor that Cooper's 727 had RTTY (radioteletype) capability. No NWA 727s had RTTY. A few long haul versions had HF radios. I asked him a lot of Qs about the skyjack and Coopers flight config demands etc. He thought the flight config specs evidenced some aviation savvy, but wouldn't agree that it showed Cooper knew a lot about 727s specifically. He said that before the Cooper caper, neither he nor his fellow NWA 727 pilots knew that the stars could be safely deployed in flight. He didn't know anything about 727 airdrops in SE Asia.

Interesting - wonder if he knew about the USAF Special Forces op at Moses Lake?

Unexpected Effect
« Reply #3157 on: June 16, 2017, 03:54:20 PM »
So this is not something that I really expected to happen when I dove into this case but over the past year or so but I have learned A LOT about northern Oregon and Washington in general. And not just about stuff pertaining to DBC either. I started reading about towns and history and all kind of nerdy stuff that I love. I have never been to Washington but a few weeks ago the wife and I were discussing where to go for our vacation this year. I threw out Washington and I explained why. Not because of the DBC thing but about the culture and the coast and it just "looks" fun! I expected to get shot down but I was actually surprised when she got behind the idea.

So there you go...a new theory to throw into the ring. DBC never existed. He was created by the State of Washington to boost tourism!!!  :)

Another new theory -- throw on the pile along with the rest of them.  Ha!  Washington state has lots to offer.  I've lived here most of my life and have traveled from one end of the state to the other.  I've made it my mission to visit as many corners, nooks, and crannies the state has to offer. Rain forest on the west, desert on the east -- it doesn't get any more diverse than that.  If you've got something in mind, let me know.  I might have some useful information, ideas, or friends around who might help you out.

Meyer

Meyer - Thank you! I will certainly take you up on that and keep you updated!

Georger - She's pretty knowledgeable and somewhat interested in the subject as well. She has her own theories as well that revolves around the Ingrams' locating the money elsewhere and did not realize what it was...they just thought they hit the jackpot. Once they figured it out, the ole pucker factor hit, they panicked, reburied it, then "discovered it" again. Oh...and she is also concerned that the dogs who searched the plane were malnourished; that's why they ate all of the food set out for the crew!  :-\

I started this forum back in February of 2014. the forum was started for several reasons, the main reason was to have a place to discuss the DB Cooper case. I believe that goal has been reached. we have had several members take part in television programs that have brought new light to the case. we have producers, law enforcement, media outlets such as CBS, and colleges, radio personalities etc. viewing this forum, some are members. believe it or not, we even have several people from our national security interested in this case and view the forum frequently  C:-)

Each thread has a view count, and after adding them all up it appears that we will be hitting ONE MILLION views in several weeks! now, I'm not going to sugar coat this like some do. you have to include a spam factor, and repeat viewers into the equation, but never the less it's a nice thing to see what can happen with a little effort. I give most of the credit to the members of this forum as well as the guests that keep this forum going.

Hopefully, we can continue to try and make some sense in this wild twisty turn of a case called DB Cooper..I would like to thank each and everyone of you for helping make this forum what it is today..the present goal is getting the "Operation Tbar" off the ground, but that's up to mother nature. I would hate to have to send Meyer and Kermit some scuba gear

Thank You All..

That's not bad for a "closed" forum!!
