Bob Knoss was an interesting character.  He lives in Minnesota.  One time, Vicki and I IM'd him and asked if he'd like to meet, basically put a name to a face and so forth.    He definitely believes in his story and really isn't interested in any other.  Too bad. I would have liked to talk to him.  This is what he wrote back in July 2014:

"I see no value in meeting. Your pursuits are frivolous to date and Ms. Wilson's are tangential to Cooper. When you develop an interest in what really happened we can review the thought. If you want answers, talk to Nick O'Hara, Bill Rataczak, Richard McCoy, Florence, Ralph Himmelsbach, George Tenent, or Dave Haapala. There are many others involved, but NONE of them will give you the time of day. Jo Weber has an agenda for telling the story HER way and will lie or do anything to hide the real facts. She has gone mental, I think.

"No KC or any of the 2000 other suspects Blevins can drudge up for attention diversion, or you for that matter. I don't HAVE to guess. I don't HAVE to prove facts about some innocent person. I can report what actually happened because I am a witness to the entire Project from concept through cover-up. I fight the cover-up artists, story writers and mental cases every time I post. Some people are even victims of cruel parents, like Jammie Cooper, misled by his lying father. I can't fix it, but I can be sure that ONE story presented is factual.

"If you want to present facts, start with interviewing Tennet. He is the only one who has spoken correctly. Cossey talked to me freely, but after I advised Bruce of his openness, he was shot. Jo Weber has some correct information and a lot of gibberish. Everybody else will clam up tight. They took an oath of silence. They put me through 'Blue Bird' against my will and I have no legal need to remain silent according to my legal advisors. McCoy told me to tell the story, it was alright by him, since he had a new identity. O'Hara buried a corpse and called it Richard Floyd McCoy, Jr. Long live McCoy.

Bob"

Knoss claimed firsthand knowledge tantamount to involvement in the hijacking.

He never offered any proof of anything. It grew very tiresome. People just went to sleep dealing with his rants .....  :-X  Then he was mercifully put down.

Is everyone lined up over at GG's site waiting in line to get their piece of the pie of those once-confidential FBI files?  It's like a new store that opens up, everyone wants to go there....at least until the thrill wears off....I guess.  It's something new and different.....something we haven't had for a while...can't say as I blame anyone for wanting to do that.  They'll be back, hopefully to discuss any new insights they might have gotten from those files....although I'm wondering just how much will actually be new to the Cooper-ites who have been around for years.  We'll see.....

Im not the only one thinking, the format alone suggests Gray doesn't have very much new; as much as he implies in tv show n tell!. (if anything new!). It may be all smoke and mirrors.  Therefore he's parsing it out in spoonfuls ... that cant go on very long. At the end of the day people may be 'pissed he wasted their time?  :-\  It would not be the first time.

Gray may be onto  something unique and potentially lucrative. It's all over the map theme wise, racehorse, fishing, Cuba trip, Cooper, etc but the True Magazine male adventure bonding theme worked once and it may find a place with the cash rich and socially starved guys who aren't fulfilled by social media and other digital substitutes for real life. Maybe he ought to buy a timed out but otherwise good looking Learjet. They go dirt cheap. Rent a hanger, put in a private bar, sell membership tokens. The jet won't fly but who cares. Go check out your jet, then head over to the stable to visit your "racehorse". Live large. Feel cool and connected for a modest expenditure.

Go Goeff.

377

Go Caliaphas.  :))

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was wondering....is anyone else tired of G. Gray saying, "I'm an investigative reporter, and you know I can't reveal my sources" ....as he grins and pats the "Confidential Files" book/binder setting on the table in front of him.  Didn't it say "FBI" on that binder?  What's the big secret here?  Such mystery...... maybe I better head on over to Gray's site, get in line, and find out.

Not trying to be sarcastic now....if something new and good comes from the Geoffrey Gray experiment, then maybe it's a good thing, in spite of the underlying agendas that may be going on.  We'll see....

I may be wrong but dont we already have one complete file from his socalled collection? We got it from 'unknown'. Fact is tonight, there are people who were involved in that saying he doesn't have much more to share, and he was not the only one given files! If that's true that changes this whole thing.

Gray is a well known confirmed "game player".

A couple of things:

1. GG:

I haven't rushed to find the new stuff. Is it available? I'm reluctant to head over there because I need lots of help negotiating GG's "Slack" site. Nothing works as far as I can tell. Plus, when people email me via the Slack system I am unable to connect with them in return, so I don't see the point. Why not just pass out my email address to anyone who wants to talk Cooper, I say.

Lastly, I made a ton o' comments on the site when the first batch came out and got no response. Worse, the comments and questions I was able to read from my fellow "Slack Sleuths" sounded just like Cooper 101: ie: the money was a plant, poor Tina, poor Cossey, why was an NB-6 used, etc. No one wanted to discuss what I consider cutting-edge material, such as the discrepancies between passenger accounts, the metals on the tie, nailing down the flight path, etc.

2. Bob Knoss

I've had numerous discussions with BK over the years, mostly via email. I've found that dealing with BK was like discussing my marriage vows with my neighbor's dog. Not very productive. BK steadfastly refused ALL requests I made of him for ANY documentation, contacts, witnesses' addresses, etc. that could corroborate ANYTHING that he was saying. He even blew me off when I asked who his attorney was and if I could have his contact information, while BK adamantly said the lawyer could corroborate EVERYTHING.

Yet, BK sent - and still sends - me tidbits and commentary. Nevertheless, I've simply had to stop responding to him. We can't even have a civil or meaningful conversation about anything.

3. The Quiet.

Yup, it's quiet. Eye of the Hurricane passing overhead? Lull in the storm? Cooper fatigue? Boredom? All of the above? A little of everything? Maybe.

But Bill Rollins is about to name a new suspect. He has a journalist in New Hampshire that is writing copy for him. I received a press release a few days ago, but it had nothing new in it. I queried the writer and she said that a "name" will be forthcoming shortly. Bill had another "name" a few months ago, but it didn't pan out. I don't know the name, but I had a wonderful chat with Bill a few weeks ago about it. I have a fondness for Bill as he is a solid scientist, a creative and imaginative sleuth, and trusts his inner knowingness even as it approaches the borders of Psychic City.

Yes. you caught me. I have been stalking Gray's site and disappointed that nothing new has been dropped.

However, I spoke with Tom Colbert a few days ago. He has received heavily redacted suspect information from the FBI as a result of his FOIA. Going forward, as he receives files from the FBI, his office will be posting them on his DBCooper.com page here:

Colbert is a dogged investigator. I have spoken with him and like him.

I find Rackstraw a totally fascinating character. His age is a significant barrier to me seeing him as a viable DBC candidate, but he sure had all the necessary skills and a prior history of aviation crime. Parachutist, pilot, thief, explosives expert too.

Rackstraw saw the skies as fertile grounds for stealing money. Few do.

Colbert's book is a great read even if you don't think Rackstraw was DBC. This guy was six sigma out on sociopathy. I can understand his beef though. After risking his life in Vietnam and being decorated for heroism, he is dishonorably discharged for having lied about being a college graduate. That seems a grossly disproportionate punishment.

Bruce:

Thanks for the update on Bob Knoss -- was wondering about him.  Shutter is taking a bit of a hiatus -- he has been so very busy at work and he is going to go see a doctor about the possibility of skin cancer.  Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  He tells me he has gotten folks to PM their mailing addresses so he can send out his commemorative gift as a thank you for your work, effort, and research on the case.  Thanks to Shutter -- what a wonderful gesture, much appreciated.

I understand your perspective on Colbert, 377, but I don't fully share your respect. Tom used a lot of my information, as posted on the Mountain News, but never told me about it until after the fact and the dust was settling on the HC docu. It was uncomfortable seeing my name in the book without any warning, and then to read passages from the MN was unsettling. Then to see where he wanted to go with the stuff got me angry. I knew he wanted to sandbag Tina and was severely tempted to use my writing. Yeah, I know it's fair game, public domain and all that. But it still stunk.

Then when we started getting into stuff after the HC, Tom was downright dismissive of me and this Forum, especially on the money shards at T-Bar.

And he NEVER wanted to investigate the metals - not even the titanium. I can only imagine his resistance to exploring the rare earth stuff.

As for Rackstraw, it's hard to see how he could be so visible to so many people for so long - even telling a TV station in Hollywood that he was DBC, and then NO ONE is able to find any solid evidence? Hmmmm. Yeah, I get the 100 pieces of circumstantial evidence, but it is all so flimsy.

Colbert's book, though, is a GREAT read. It'll make a GREAT TV show.

Colbert said the FBI is to release 500 pages a month. However, his attorneys are asking for 2000. Tom said that the FBI Vault will also be updated on the FBI's website. The release of files was a result of Colbert's FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) case filed against the FBI on September 8, 2016. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
