This video is great. I've never seen it before. The last half was confusing, though. Not Norjak.

Hey guys, name is Aaron Lafond, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I've been waiting on approval to get in and I finally did, thanks to the awesome Darren.

I heard about this story years ago, when my mom and I were watching a talk show where they told the DB Cooper story. This was in the 90s, I was a kid and when I first heard the story, I thought Cooper stole money from the passengers. Never what I eventually know now.

So I didn't know much about the Cooper story until this year in while quarantine, when I saw someone post about the DB Cooper and this person posted their suspect, and I thought to myself: 'let me get into this story' since we were in lockdown - it's the perfect time.

Well, after one youtube video and 98 videos and podcasts I've listened/watched since then, I've been obsessed and know everything; all the suspects, the theories and everyone whose involved.

I can't wait share my thoughts; I'm excited, and yes, I have a suspect - someone whose already been mentioned.

Good for you! I got sucked into this thing 10 years ago and I've yet to find a suspect that I like. Some I dislike more than others, but none that I like. Welcome!

Thanks dude!

I've on and off on main suspects like McCoy and Weber. Those two, I think aren't Cooper, although the evidence that surrounds them oddly matches Cooper.

But my main suspect is Richard Lepsy.

Welcome Double A -

Lepsy, eh? Haven't heard that name for a while.

As for Brooklyn, my sis lives near Grand Army Plaza - just around the corner from Chuck Schumer - and my Dad hailed from Avenue "I," right by MacDonald Ave.

Bruceeeee! This is why I know you're a real New Yorka, because you called me Double A. Lol. That's what they always called me on the streets, growing up.

I grew up on Leonard and Manhattan ave, in Williamsburg.

We spoke on email a couple of times; we we spoke before the HBO Doc; also, you were awesome on the HBO doc. I'm hoping Sirius radio hires someone like you and Darren to do a Cooper channel or a history channel. You deserve it.

But yes, I think the face that those passengers and flight crew saw that night, on Thanksgiving 1971, was Richard Lepsy.

He has the BEST Cooper description out of all the suspects. In my opinion.

Flo said Cooper had "dark, PIERCING eyes". Lepsy has that.

Flo said he had jet black hair and a wide forehead. Lepsy has that.

Flo, if you can read her lips in that Unsolved Mystery show, the narrator spoke over her when she said "no chin". Lepsy had no chin.

Rose, the composition sketch artist, said that the flight described Cooper having no unusual features but did have somewhat of protruding bottom lip (which you can say about Weber). If you look Lepsy's photo's, he's basic looking face, but his bottom lip does pop out.

And if you look a the composite sketch, the mouth on that sketch is EXACTLY the same as Lepsy's mouth. Check it out.

Lepsy actually does match quite a bit of the physical attributes but he would of been 35 in 71, so that puts him on the younger side and any idea of what his skin tone was like? Did he have the darker olive complexion, what about the fold of skin under the neck described by Mitchell referred to as the turkey gobble.

The age is the one part that makes believe it wasn't him, but, Lepsy did look a lot older early 30s. A lot of those guys did, in those times. Look at Weber - he looked 60-years-old with he was in his late 40's.

Lepsy didn't have a chin. You look at Lepsy and he has a bit of a turkey gobble.

The skin is another reason why I don't think it was Lepsy, though there were rumors of him leaving his family to go to Mexico. Maybe he develops a tan from Mexico? Also, that's where Cooper wanted to go.

Lepsy leaving his family was random for someone like him, according to his family; especially taking money from a safe, which tells you he had a side to him. Cooper's personality from all the stories sounds like a guy whose a nice guy, but had to do what he had to do.

Lepsy was a 33-year-old, married, with three kids, a good-looking guy and was probably feeling like I'm missing out in life.

And again, Lepsy's mouth and the composite sketch is EXACTLY THE SAME. Lol

Sorry to disappoint ya AA, but we need more than facial similarities...

What I'd really like to know is why Lepsy committed the crimes we know he did. What is it like to abandon a whole family? Steal from a neighborhood Mom and Pop shop? Why did he leave the keys in the car and a pack of cigarettes on the dashboard? And who was his Honey-Bun?

The points I brought up in the other reply - I think he was 33-year-old, still very young, married too early, met his wife way too early and decided I'm gonna cut out, I'm gonna bust into safe, take money that I'll need (no one will know that I broke in that safe) and leave.

Leaving the keys in the car is not unusual to me, because what is he gonna do with the keys, if he's leaving the state or country on a plane. Leave it in the car so the family can find it. You want him to throw into the woods?

Leaving the cigarettes was odd. Why not take the cigs. Maybe he took a couple with him...didn't need much.. Just as odd as Cooper leaving his tie on the plane.

Who cares what chick he was with. It was two years prior from the hijack.

This maybe an overthought, but I'll say it anyways. Lol:

When Tina tells Cooper if he has a grudge and Cooper replies "I don't have a grudge toward your airline, I just have grudge". That's a very deep thing to say, while hijacking a plane. Some criminals would've told Tina, 'mind your business, go do your job'. But that was a deep, philosophical thing to say. Now, Lespy was known to be that - a deep, philosophical guy, who was into poetry. That's a poetic line and answer a question.

This is upsetting. NAMUS, the database for missing persons will cease operations on January 1st.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

“Due to funding limitations and significant program modifications directed by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), beginning January 1, 2021, the UNT Center for Human Identification (UNTCHI) management and operation of the National Missing and Unidentified Person System (NamUs) will cease. UNTCHI will no longer be able to support NamUs stakeholders with any analytical or case support; victim services; system development; or new forensic services. The forensic services include: DNA typing (currently suspended), fingerprint examination, forensic odontology, and forensic anthropology (currently suspended). Effective immediately, NamUs will also be unable to support states that have passed legislation mandating the use of NamUs, including bulk data import needs.
UNTCHI at the University of North Texas Health Science Center has been proud to manage NamUs through a cooperative agreement with NIJ since October 1, 2011. However, despite our best efforts over the past several months to reach a sustainable solution, the sweeping program changes being mandated by NIJ at this time make it untenable for UNTCHI to continue management of NamUs.

We deeply regret the negative impact this situation will have on the thousands of NamUs criminal justice and public customers and stakeholders across the country. NamUs is the only program of its kind in existence, and we hope the program can continue its important work for agencies and families nationwide.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.”
