I spoke this evening with Carl Laurin, the author of the Walter Reca confessional. Boy - I thought I was arrogant! The Reca Crew take the cake. First, it was Vern Jones, the publisher. Now, Carl Laurin - as mentally entrenched as any human I have ever met.

Every question I posed to Carl he shot down like he was at pellet gun range at a carnival shooting down pigeons clanging along his metal conveyor.

Q: Any thoughts on why Walt didn't save a Cooper twenty when he saved his KGB Identity card?
A: You can't get arrested for a passport.

Q: Why do you think Walt's plan was to exit out a side door?
A: Paratroopers always go out the side door.

Q: But why the side door on the 727? What do you think would have happened if he exited just in front of the main wing?

Perhaps I have missed it, but I haven’t heard anyone from the Reca camp speak about Tena Bar. They are so far off base with the stuff they have said, I’d love to hear them try and show how TB works with their story. I’m a glutton I guess.

No. Carl is basically a bully and well, a kind of well-polished, gentlemanly thug. There wasn't too much to say. I had three missions: first, get Jeff Osiadacz's contact info. Secondly, ask Carl if there was any commentary from Walt that would support an MKULTRA scenario at the Cle Elum site. Lastly, see if there were any cracks in the armor that might be an opening for a broader conversation. (There weren't.)

Bruce. You are a patient man. Thanks for getting their viewpoint, or lack of. That publisher seems to focus on specific genres. They believe what they believe. There's no changing those types of minds. It's too bad that so many people bought into that story, when just a few visits to this site could have set them straight.

The FBI only made such details of the case public in 2015, but Laurin has cassette recordings of Reca telling him these things between 2008 and 2014.

Just exactly where did this "fact" about Cooper using "superglue" to conceal his finger prints come from?  Was what is now known as "superglue" even available in 1971?  If Cooper had wanted to use glue to conceal his finger prints, and I am not aware of any evidence whatsoever that he did, then plain model airplane glue (for working with balsa wood) would have gotten the job done.

And if, as claimed above, the FBI said Cooper used superglue to conceal his fingerprints, where did the fingerprints they are suppose to have come from?

Superglue was available in '71 and I have a vague recollection of somebody mentioning it as a "possibility" years ago but never from the FBI..

It came from Jo Weber of course, on Dropzone - the source for everthang inder Coopre Uber Alles. Duane, if you recall, even invented Relativity ... and the cigar ... and the Corvette. Airport lounge ladies come prepared for any and all action! Jo Weber founded the Cooper Action Committee the source of so many fake Coopers. Her work reverberates through the universe to this day. Who knows. Maybe she will get the Nobel Cooper Prize... after The Blevinator and Bruce Smith and Geoffrey Gray!
