... The Midwestern stews perceived Cooper as having no accent, which meant he either had a broad "North American" English accent or a Midwestern one that people with the same accent might not note. Anyway, New York is not the Midwest, Hahneman is mentioned as having a NY accent, and no one anywhere would fail to notice that or confuse it with any other. The accent alone should eliminate him as Cooper....

Ahem, Ms. Lynn. Tina was from Philly, Florence was from Arkansas, and only Alice was from the mid-west - Minnesota. Just sayin'. Doesn't necessarily change your hypothesis or conclusions, but I do like to keep facts flowing when I can.

A few updates..

Hijacker Frederick William Hahneman's brother's name is "William Henry Hahneman"

A news report quoted a stew stated the hijacker later identified as Hahneman had NO ACCENT.. and Latin appearance

Lycopodium Clavatum is a long known homeopathic "remedy" for cancer. Hahneman claimed he had cancer and six months to live in May 1972. Cooper's tie had Lycopodium Clavatum on it, Kaye believed it was from a pill form.

Hahneman worked as an electrical engineer for Philco, that was probably a unit called Philco TechRep Division a subsidiary of Ford..

added note: The Philco TechRep Division has its own tie pin. The Cooper tie had holes from a pin.

I believe I have deciphered the purpose of the following questioning of E. Howard Hunt by Senator Nedzi...

Besides Watergate,, Hunt was running a CIA operation on "Swan Island" which played a role in Guatemala's Overthrow Arvenz, anti Castro and Bay of Pigs operations.. it was manned by CIA and Philco TechReps.. Even found some "Air America references to Swan Island.

Frank Sturgis was connected to the mob and the CIA working against Castro..

"Philco TechReps" were contractors used by the gov and military all over the world, even for classified ops. Hahneman claimed to have worked in Vietnam, Cambodia, Guatemala and Honduras.

IMO, Nedzi was alluding that Hahneman may have been involved in the CIA's Swan Island operations..

"Mr. Nedzi. Do you know anybody by the name of George Ames, Mr. Hunt?

Mr. Hunt. Is that a true name or a pseudonym ? No name comes to mind. I can give you off the top of my head "No."

Mr. Nedzi. When you worked in Central America, did you ever have occasion to come in contact with individuals working on electronic installation contracts in Guatemala, or any place else in Central America ?

Mr. Hunt. I may have. I can't think of any. I was involved in the operation "Overthrow Arvens" in Guatemala, you know. We used the [deleted] subsidiary as a part of our communications network. If you could be more specific. That is the only connection I can think of, sir.

And I don't know the names of anybody after this lapse of time. Mr. Nedzi. Do you know anyone by the name of Frederick William Hahneman?
Mr. Hunt. Hahneman ?
Mr. Nedzi. Yes, H-a-h-n-e-m-a-n.
Mr. Hunt. No, sir. Not to the best of my recollection.
Mr. Nedzi. Do you have any knowledge of the May 5, 1972, hijacking of the Eastern Airlines flight from Allentown, Pa., to Washington, to Miami.

Mr. Hunt. No, sir.

Mr. Nedzi. Do you know whether Frank Sturgis was involved while in Honduras or elsewhere in Central America with Hahneman or George Ames ?

Mr. Hunt. I have no knowledge of either of the names. I have no knowledge of Frank Sturgis' activities there.

Mr. Nedzi. Do you have any questions ?
Mr. Hogan. No, sir.
Mr. Nedzi. Were you involved in any operations of any kind in Miami before the Democratic National Convention?
Mr. Hunt. I was involved in the contemplation of operations that might at one time come to pass, but which did not. Operations per se, no, sir, aside from an assist I gave to Segretti. Mr. Nedzi. What did that consist of ?

Mr. Hunt. That consisted of his requirement for a printer who could be trusted, and through Mr. Barker I got the name of the printer, and that name was passed on to him and I believe he used that printer. What they printed, I don't know."

Hanneman is a good suspect can you show a link to the news report about the stewerdess saying that Hanneman had no accent. Also I would love to see a report showing him taller than what the FBI has him at. There is a lot of things that point to Hanneman possibly being Cooper.

Can't find anything more on height other than the 5' 8" and 5' 10" descriptions..

Problem is we are trying to compare Cooper's FBI file to Hahneman's media reports.. eyewitness accounts often conflict.

"Honduras (VPl) A man described as in his mid-40s and believed to be a former Vietnam war pilot parachuted from an Eastern Airlines jet into a Honduras jungle in Central America yesterday with $303,000 he extorted during a 20-hour long hijacking. The sky pirate, who launched his plot by taking over an Eastern airliner on a domestic , United States flight Friday, jumped from the 727 jet shortly before dawn near this Isolated mountain village, about 1,000 miles south of New Orleans. HONDURAN Federal police Immediately organized a manhunt and sent search teams into the jungle. "It is a savage region that still holds some completely primitive Indian tribal villages," one of the government searchers said. "And if he has $300,000 with him, it will not be hard to find people to hide him."  A crew member, James Confalone, said the hijacker said he was dying of cancer. "He said he didn't care if the plane crashed because he had only six months anyway," Confalone said, STEWARDESS Madeleine Willet said the man "spoke English without an accent, but he looked Latin American.â€

This is interesting,,,

An early and only suspect sketch of Hahneman released to the media, he was later identified and turned himself in so it was never updated, the hairline was way off (unless a wig). Next to it is the initial Cooper sketch, later updated several times..

What really strikes me is Hahneman's clothing, suit, dress shirt and tie. Same as Cooper.

You may have smoked it out here, Flyjack...  hahneman sure does check all of the boxes so far, especially the elusive ones together like Latin appearance, marcelled hair, philco tech etc.    I just wonder why Mucklow wouldn't have photo IDed him unless he was in deep disguise.    Either way, at the very least, that Latin group that Hunt was running, hCooper may be found there.

Hair samples from the seats, assuming one is Cooper's, would show any attempt to change hair color, grease, or any additives applied over the hair. That could address any disguise issue. Latins typically use hair products.
