Bruce: This is great.  I'm happy to look at any of the chapters.  The DNA chapter looks like a good one.  I'm not an expert, but can scan it for anything that looks out of place.  I'll hit you up on email.

The presents of the storm has begun. rain bands are starting to move in over South Florida. still not sure where it's going to land. at the moment it's north of my location only giving us a Tropical storm warning. it didn't pass over Cuba as I hoped. should be windy with a lot of rain tomorrow..4-6 inches.

CooperCon 2020 Update

CooperCon 2020 is currently set to take place Saturday, November 21st in either Portland or Vancouver. Needless to say, with Covid as it is I have not been certain whether there will be a CC2020 or if we'll just pick things up again for the 50th Anniversary in 2021. That said, I'll likely be making a definitive decision by the end of August and will let everyone know at that time.

I really want to make this year's event happen. I've already garnered commitments from Brian Ingram, Tom Kaye, and others, along with Darren serving as the MC for the event. Moreover, the plan is also to film all of the presentations this year and to explore some areas that are newer in Cooper World.

Stay safe all...Cheers!
Some men see things as they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

Having a video record is an excellent idea.

I agree, Covid is putting everything up in the air. Clark County, WA, which is where Vancouver is, was leading the state in Covid rates a month or two ago, then the ag places took over, like Yakima. Things are pretty dicey up here. So making a decision sounds wise. It's looking like a long shot for 2020 at this point. Schools around here aren't opening for students in September - at least in-classroom instruction. Exact details are up in the air on that, too.

I think most of the storm will remain offshore. the storm is small surrounding hurricane force winds only stretching out 35 miles from the center. the tropical force winds extend up 175 miles. probably get some squalls in the 40's and a lot of rain. I doubt we will have any power issues. the outer bands have been coming in all night with quick bursts of rain. a strong sheer is pushing northwesterly keeping it away from us. the Bahama's will get most of the storm as it stands now.

To encourage, sponsor, and support public events, books, films, videos, and other real-life things having to do with the Cooper case. As long as they legitimate. (In the category of Public Events, I still want to sponsor a couple of those, but this will have to wait until the Covid-19 crisis has passed.)

Sounds like you don't take your own advice or preaching again. are you letting your emotions get the best of you when you
fail to support large public events by Eric or books done by others. you want a perfect private website but feel it's okay to dump garbage on someone else's website on a constant basis. how many comments in a row are you going to post?

Eric's events make local and national news. not legit? key people involved as well. who have you brought to the table to forward the case. you only forward the case news wise. other than that you spend most of your time whining, ALONE....

Derek was striking out in anger since he can't post. if it was "spamming" he would be doing the same elsewhere. he also used your name and called you Hitler, so the whole thing surrounds YOU once again. was it right what he did, of course not but it appears to have had a reason. you are similar to Derek without the porn. you constantly go off topic, you rant about things as far back as 2011 disrupting discussions. you show more hypocrisy abusing someone else's website while wanting a PERFECT one that you can control stating all kinds of guidelines like the one's you break on the DZ? the only people really talking about you are on Bruce's thread from a year ago. I doubt it gets much traffic being an older reporting. other than that you are old news. why have your own site when you treat the DZ as your own anyway?

Storm is under 200 miles away and still undecided on direction..the Bahama's (Andros) are breaking it up or weakening it. the present track has changed to more westerly track coming directly at south Florida but only as a tropical storm. if it remains on a north westerly track it would be above us but still bring about the same weather even being a hurricane since the hurricane force winds would be further away..it's barely a hurricane right now. wind has picked up more along with rain bands coming in. while the pressure rises in the storm it weakens the activity (thunderstorms, rain etc.) it's currently now tracking west northwest toward me. have to wait for the 5 o'clock advisory..

Things are about the same as they were in April when they mandated masks. I have cut back on going boating, air boating in the Glades or deep sea fishing..kind of put activities on hold and stay home more than usual. don't know anyone who got the virus. most of my spare time involves helping my mother along. she didn't take to well the this round of chemo. no panic or anything like that down here...

This storm is one for the records...never had one with the eye so close to the coastline and nothing occurs..20 mph winds, light rain. the wind sheer pushed it right off the coastline. as the storm approached the coastline you could watch the radar and see the storm activity just disappear.

What I think.

A few posts ago, either here or in another thread, someone mentioned "conspiracies," and Gawd Knows I get all tingly when we start talking that kind of talk.

So I thought I'd post my overview on what I think is going on vis-Ă -vis the flight path, money find, and actions of the FBI that foist our thoughts of conspiracy in Norjak.

Chapter 42
What I Think Happened to DB Cooper

Since nothing substantial has ever been found from the skyjacking other than the three bundles of twenties and the shards, there are a lot of blank spaces to fill in the DB Cooper case. I am asked routinely what I think happened, and here is my view:

I think DB Cooper made it. I say that because the jump wasn’t too tough and all the copycats who jumped made it successfully to the ground. Further, I think DB Cooper was trained to do the jump since he had a top-secret level of information.

Specifically, I think DB Cooper was special ops, possibly SOG or some subset of the Special Forces such as the Delta Force, Seal Team Six, or even a mercenary. I say this because that’s what commandos have told me.

“DB Cooper was one of our guys,” a SOG trooper told me. “The skyjacking looked like one of our operations—it had all the hallmarks of how we do things. It was well-planned and well-executed—and clearly Cooper was well-trained. So, like they say, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.”

Since DB Cooper had top-secret information, it is possible that he also had relationships with top-secret types of people, such as commandos who could compose an extraction team. They could have possessed state-of-the-art radios and tracking devices to retrieve all the gear, and travel with a variety of vehicles replete with medical supplies, clothing, and disguises to conduct a successful getaway.

Added to that, DB Cooper and his extraction team had at least an 11-hour head start before anyone flew over LZ-A, and no one on the ground was looking for the skyjacker for at least 40 hours. That would give the team plenty of time to make contact with Cooper, grab all the gear, pull any parachutes out of the trees, and vacate the area before anyone could spot them.

As for the money at Tina Bar, I lean towards the theory that Cooper landed near there and buried at least a portion of the ransom, with the intention of retrieving it later. Somehow, three bundles got separated, perhaps with a few loose bills, and were re-discovered in 1980. I say this as Eric Ulis’ research in 2020 on the western flight path becomes more compelling, along with his finding that the money site was not near the dredge spoil location. Why the FBI looked in the dredge sites is incongruous with this theory, however, so it needs to be investigated more thoroughly.

In addition, I believe the FBI, or certain elements within the Bureau, have perpetrated a cover-up for all the reasons speculated throughout this book, most likely to minimize the exposure of clandestine combat operations in Southeast Asia or to build the political momentum to federalize airline safety. Back in 1971 this would have been a dicey proposition politically, but the federal government was needed to organize and enforce standards so that all aircraft and all airports had the same equipment and procedures to ensure that no “weak links” in the safety net would be exploited by low-cost airlines. This issue is a primary topic for researchers to address in the future.

I further believe that MKULTRA-like techniques were used to control principals involved in Norjak, such as the FBI agents in Reno who now can’t remember anything. Also, I think it possible that Tina Mucklow is affected by these types of processes.

Plus, I strongly believe that Earl Cossey was murdered because of his knowledge of unsavory actions in the Norjak case, such as orchestrating a campaign against the image of DB Cooper as “The Man who beat Da Man.”

Lastly, I don’t think any of the suspects brought forward – either here or by their advocates elsewhere, and NONE of the confessees – are DB Cooper. Rather, I believe that when we learn who DB Cooper actually is, we’ll be saying, “Who Dat?”
