something got a hold of it's certificate...

This server could not prove that it is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login its security certificate is from *.opalstack.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection

So is this affecting everyone or just me ?

The issue is on there side and should of been resolved quickly...I had no idea what happened here until Chaucer sent a message on my phone..the skydiving site is active and should of alerted them instantly..they should be contacting the server to resolve the issue..mine was fixed in less than an hour..hacking bots constantly search for weakness in sites..you always see hundreds here but they are all bots trying to either get in to leave a link to something or redirect (hijack) the URL..

When you hit advanced on the link to the cooper forum you will see a link to access the forum, DO NOT click on that link...

NEWS:  Speakers at this year's CooperConf will include a noted professional hydrologist, Ron Rovansek with his thoughts on the Tena Bar Money issue. Rovansek was previously interviewed on this issue here: DB Cooper and the Mystery of Tena Bar - Ron Rovansek - podcast  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login   ...  If I understand Rovansek's message: 1. He is aware of Tom Kaye's work  2. He believes the Cooper money was not delivered to Tena Bar by water but by some other means which could include intentional burial. 3. He rates the idea of a package of bills flapping along the bottom  (which gave the money is rounded shape) as utter nonsense and factually impossible. 4. He says "The Tena Bar money tells you Cooper lived...". 5. He is convinced the Cooper money did not arrive at T-Bar by water!  Unfortunately, the 1974 Dredging issue was not brought by the moderator Darren for Rovansek to address. What makes Rovansek's opinions very compelling is his very strong professional credentials and long experience, which anyone can find on the web. Hopefully we will be hearing a lot more from Dr. Rovansek at the upcoming Cooper conference.

No, but Im still waiting for any news from the convention, socalled. We go through this every year - maybe somebody will post something to You tube, or not. With the loss of Dropzone and all of its data, DBCooper research has taken a real hit. Flyjack had already driven everyone away from DZ before this happened. You would think the people who take the time to organize and conduct the Cooper Convention would want their guest lecturers to have public exposure, but so far nothing. TV stations dont seem to be covering it either ??? Thank God Shutter has kept this site going just in case somebody wants to research and discuss the case. I dont know what else to say ...

Skydiveforum.com went offline but was then sold and relaunched by a new owner, although the new version has also recently gone down. The original site was shut down, likely due to hosting costs, and while a new version was brought back online with the same IP address, it has since become unavailable.

The site my be gone for good....

People posted at Reddit about it - Messo replied and explained the Dropzone domain had been sold. Then the Cooper thread came back with a new url: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login   ............... that was there for about a month with only Fly Jack posting, then nothing .......... only time will tell. Chaucer and I have been in contact today  about Tena Bar and other matters ....

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get Ron’s presentation but I did get the subsequent panel discussion between him and Tom. I will try to get that up next. Ron’s presentation was one of the highlights for sure. The biggest thing in it was he summarized the amount of water force needed to displace items of varying scales and he essentially said you can displace sand without more easily displacing the money at the same time. He said it’s theoretically impossible for the river to bury the money. He had like a graph of all kinds of items and basically said the ones that required more force to displace than sand could self bury but everything under it couldn't. Also he poured cold water on Tom's diatom assertion by saying that the diatoms could have penetrated the sand and gotten to the money post burial. I don't think he's technically right but after a lot of AI powered research I think it is technically possible but extremely unlikely. The sand would have to be extremely coarse which I understand to not be typical for riverine sand. He agrees the diatoms Tom found (astrionella formosa) were 80-100 microns and you'd need to have a crazy pore throat in the sand filter to get through. He accepted the push back pretty well but wouldn't fully give in.

I asked a question some time ago but I don't think I got an answer. The diatoms found on the money represent the time/season that it was exposed to the water. But does that mean the only time the money was exposed, or just the last time it was. As in, would a newer season's water wash off the old diatoms while depositing the newer ones? As in, could the money have been in the water longer than the found diatoms indicate?
