Just a little clarity about me and RMB. And Cooper World in general.
At the Mountain News, RMB is banned from posting. He is also blocked from sending me emails. As a result, I have not had any direct communication with RMB in years.
The Mountain News receives posts on RMB on a daily basis, mostly from a collective known as: Johnny Greene, Marla, Gyspy23, and maybe one or two others. Most commentaries bash RMB. I delete them as soon as I am aware of them. The only ones I allow have some degree of DB Cooper information or evidentiary merit.
As for the DZ, I have visited there infrequently, perhaps twice a year. The only worthwhile posting there came from Flyjack, but the crapola from others like RMB was too much to bear to allow me to continue. Fortunately, Fly and I have developed a solid personal correspondence, and his recent contributions will be on display in the 3rd Edition, as will many nifty tidbits from Nat Loufoque, who has similarly joined forces with me in a quiet manner.
As for the 3rd Edition, I am in the midst of another major re-write/edit, which has delayed my outreach to publishers. But one way or another it will be out by the 50th. Current target date is late summer 2021.
One of the surprising dynamics in crafting the 3rd Edition is the fact that so many principals have died - Himms, Sail, Airborne Bob, etc... Thus, verb tense has to be changed throughout the book. Plus, with the FBI closing the case and the arrival of so many 302s - such as they are - almost every piece of analysis of FBI activity has to be reformed.
Plus we have Reca, Rackstraw, the diatoms and rare earth minerals, the Western Flight Path, Ammerman, the CooperCons, Eric's many contributions, podcasts and YouTubes up the ying-yang, etc. So, I've been busy.
Fortunately, I have been blessed with some fine Beta readers, such as Darren and Anonymous. Plus, Fly keeps busting my ass about something, but in a nice way...
Lastly, yesterday was one hellava hot day in Cooper Country. 98 in the shade at my little abode. How are things in Iowa, G. I hear the winds got pretty rough a few days ago.
