It actually makes no sense. What the hell's he going to do if he finds a beeper? Not jump. What then?

He opened the reserve in an attempt to store the ransom. When that didn't work he opened the other reserve to cannibalize the shroud lines. It's as straight forward as that.

What the hell was Hahnemann going to do if he found a beeper? Not jump? He did anyway. You literally have one of the five known parajackers searching the chutes for devices and still jumping and you are trying to tell me that not only does it make no sense, but that you know better.

One may assume the beepers were removable... they couldn't be placed in a manner to interfere with the operation of the chute.

Another thought,, when I read/heard "burp sack" in the folds I thought it meant "vomit bag" but a "burp" is also a term for a radio transmission/signal.. could a "burp sack" be a 1971 insider term for a beeper? There was a beeper signal heard after NORJAK. I still believe it is likely a "vomit bag" but there must be a way to check it out.

nothing was different with the dummy chute other than the panels being sewn chute for quick packing. no need for daisy chaining something you use over and over in a days time?

This is one of those critical details that everyone here seems quick to ignore but I consider vitally important.

All I know is that Sheridan told the FBI during his 2003 interview that the dummy-reserve was daisy-chained. I have one very simple question: How could he possibly have known that?

That said, another great question would be: Why did you say that it was daisy-chained? I mean, who among us, when being interviewed by the FBI if we're suspects of anything, would make that kind of statement?

For example, if the cops questioned you about a car that was stolen would you say "it had an Alpine stereo system in it" just for the hell of it? Even if the cops weren't sure the car had an Alpine stereo system in it you think they would ask him why he would say that it did and how he could possibly know this?

Remember, this is why law enforcement asks suspects questions...because they know if the person is guilty, they eventually will say something that they shouldn't. This is what happened with Sheridan, yet everyone gives the guy a pass. At a minimum people need to ask him WHY?

I tried and just don't see the significance of SP's daisy chained comment..

The win-win logic..
If he was wrong and Cooper's dummy reserve wasn't daisy chained then SP was being intentionally deceptive.
If he was correct then SP had inside knowledge.

The problem..
SP was referring to a dummy chute that he had experience with at Issaquah.. he incorrectly assumed it was the one given to Cooper. Therefore, I can't see any significance to SP's daisy chained comment.

He pulled the reserve chute out of the container. this is when he discovered the container wouldn't work. why would he open another container that is exactly the same?

If he used the dummy chute for a container, where did the chute go?

He opened the second reserve because he needed to use its shroud lines. The lines in the dummy reserve were...you guessed it...daisy chained.

Speculation is fine, but you should state the reasoning (if any) behind your speculation.

Saying something more dramatically, doesn't make it more true.
It's like Blevins trying to make something more real by bolding it.

I miss Bruce's light touch in talking to people. I really liked the way he chatted with Sherian's brother.

I had to go that high to make sure Blevins didn't get it.

I also get rights to the documentary.

As Sheridan says, I need part two for the documentary.
