A tightly secured bank bag is the most obvious explanation for this, no?

A tightly secured bank bag is the most obvious explanation for this, no?

I don't think about it too much, because I think the data is too sketchy.

Basically: testing two bills, and using the result to interpret something about the absence of something on a cooper bill.
I end up having to think too hard just to make sure there's not a circular argument.

the evidence is so slight and speculation so heavy, that I think you can say anything you want, and it's possible.

Kaye would have to test 9 bills of the Ingram find (13%) to meet the minimum requirement for statistical validity. Since he cannot do that and never will in the lifetime of this planet .... the Cooper case is DOA.

My one peer reviewed paper is being trashed. Lord have mercy.

What makes it worse is those attacking it are my friends. Snow would say friends don’t let friends do bad science.

There goes my shot at a tenure track professorship. Oh well, I still have a commercial fishing license and CA commercial salmon permit. Back to my roots.

I still think my Cooper bill was high and dry on Thanksgiving 1971.

heh.

Okay we're in court. Your client was caught with $10,000 with cocaine traces on it.
I was brought in as a research specialist for the defense.
I point out that

'In a study reported in Forensic Science International, A.J. Jenkins, at the Office of the Cuyahoga County Coroner (Cleveland, OH), the author reports the analysis of ten randomly collected one-dollar bills from five cities, and tested for cocaine, heroin, 6-acetylmorphine (also called "6-AM"), morphine, codeine, methamphetamine, amphetamine and phencyclidine (PCP). Bills were then immersed in acetonitrile for two hours prior to extraction and subjected to Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. Results demonstrated that "92% of the bills were positive for cocaine with a mean amount of 28.75 ± 139.07 micrograms per bill, a median of 1.37 μg per bill, and a range of 0.01-922.72 μg per bill. Heroin was detected in seven bills in amounts ranging from 0.03 to 168.5 μg per bill: 6-AM and morphine were detected in three bills; methamphetamine and amphetamine in three and one bills, respectively, and PCP was detected in two bills in amounts of 0.78 and 1.87 μg per bill. Codeine was not detected in any of the one-dollar bills analyzed". The study confirmed that although paper currency was most often contaminated with cocaine, other drugs of abuse may also be detected in bills.'

The prosecutor countered with a diatom analysis of the bills, but we successfully countered with the diatom analysis of 1963A and 1969 circulated bills not connected to Cooper that was done by Dr. Dr. Snowmman.

I was thinking about the concept of "peer review"
Was there any "peer review" of Edwards' book before publication (not that he needed any, it's a free world)

I'm curious. If there was, the people who did "peer review" should be defending their review as sufficient? I'm wondering what the pre-publication process was.

You could say "Why does anyone need to tell snowmman?"
Well sure, you could say that.
But then I'd say "Why should anyone buy Edwards' book?"

The whole question of 'how is "truth" arrived at?'

Various forms of 'truth'

Good overview here

Embedded in that article, this made me smile. Under "Pragmatist theories"

A different perspective on truth was offered by the American pragmatists. As with the neo-classical correspondence and coherence theories, the pragmatist theories go with some typical slogans. For example, Peirce is usually understood as holding the view that:

Truth is the end of inquiry.

Both Peirce and James are associated with the slogan that:

    Truth is satisfactory to believe.

Both of those statements are cool.

But georger, the paper was peer-reviewed for Nature, a presumed "academic-like" publication.
Surely they have standards?
Who can I trust now?

I was reading this paper about pathogens on currency, especially in countries where paper currency is heavily used.
the transition to polymer-based currency seems important

Paper currency is commonly and routinely passed among individuals, and microbes can be spread on the surface of paper currency (Figure 1). Paper currency is made of a rugged mix of 75% cotton and 25% linen, and offers surface area for bacteria and microorganisms to reside on both sides.[10] Polymer-based banknotes presented lower bacterial counts than cotton-based banknotes.[11] It is possible that the fibrous surfaces of cotton-based banknotes provide a good surface for bacterial attachment.[11] As a result, fewer bacteria were isolated in Australia and New Zealand, where polymer-based banknotes were tested.[11] Moreover, in banknotes from Mexico, where both polymer and cotton-based notes are used, it was found that polymer-based banknotes were much less contaminated than cotton-based notes.[11] The longer the paper bill remains in circulation, the more opportunity there is for it to become contaminated, and lower-denomination notes receive the most handling because they are exchanged more often.[10,11] In addition, the economic status of a country was associated with the concentration of bacteria on the currency, and it was found that the average number of bacteria detected on banknotes is associated with the economic freedom of banknotes.[11]

Serial #L20301456A. Series 1969
with purple staining
sold 11/17/2009 for $1792.50

apparently sold for $2600 on 7/1/2016 ?

apparently sold for $10,600 on May 3 2021 (this year) ?

front pic attached.

I am actively manipulating the market for Cooper bills (I believe it is not covered by SEC regulations) in both the USA and international markets.
My estimate is this bill will sell for $100K within a year.

I have tried to engage recent international authors to help in my endeavors but have no success. Well actually I have no contact points, so that effort ended quickly.

EDIT: working on a derivatives market with some support from China. I thought that was more legit than grinding out yet other crypto ..i.e. something like "cooperCoin".

Hey Snow. Can you help me put together a marketable NFT for my Cooper twenty? I want to have my cake and eat it too.

So it looks like the value of my bill has increased substantially. Keep manipulating that market please. These Cooper twenties are not unregistered securities. SEC doesn’t regulate them.

Why stop at $100,000?

The Cooper bills that have no SN could be counterfeited I bet. The plexiglass display case, label and certificate of authenticity would be the easiest part.

Why is Snow scouring auctions for appropriate period twenties? One wonders.

I bet he’s making progress on accelerated aging. Now TK has told him what kind of diatoms to use to reinforce authenticity.

TK now owns TWO SEMs. The latest one offers substantially better performance than his original one. Stay tuned.

Snow will soon be firing up his home brewed fusion reactor. When he’s finished mining the last available Bitcoins he will refocus his attention on his quantum computer project.

See, Cooper didn't commit the perfect crime. Because it seems that he didn't pre-announce.
To really do the perfect crime, you have to announce beforehand.
And then not get caught.
i.e. even when they know you did it, they can't prove it.
Anyone can just do crime and not get caught. That's not a big enough game.
I mean we're talking skydiving here....gotta amp up the risk envelope.

Hmm are you asking for a progress report? Here's a fistful of bills. Check out the serial numbers ...Sequential. Like Cossey, did that "just cause I could". Figured it would be a nice thumb in Carr's eye.

Now I just need that recipe for decomposition.

I never know why "The Firm" has me doing certain things, but I ran it by Doc Edwards, and he said, with 87% prediction accuracy, that there is some kind of Forest Fenn thing in the works. One of the snags is the lack of anyone with literacy skills to write the damn poem. Trying to write the AI to write a Fenn poem instead. Touch and go. Luckily this forum doesn't have any captchas so can use as test vehicle. If you click on this post, a butterfly wing will flap in Japan and Bruce's book sales rank will increase by 5.
