Interesting stats with the poll..4 people now believe the money was planted.
Interesting list of choices in your poll as to how the ransom deliverables came to rest at Tina Bar. Has ice as a mechanism for transport, damage, and deposition ever been considered?
yes - ice was suggested to Palmer and Bennet by an agent but rejected due to no weather data to support it. Its rather clear Himmelsbach wanted the Washougal Theory because it fit his demand that Cooper had died and was gone. Everyone was biased toward a recent arrival because that's what Palmer was suggesting. But Palmer had no water data in hand! Palmer first said 'arrived in the last several months' but there was no water data to base that on. Then a hydrologist got involved and he suggested maybe the mini-flood of 1977 which had affected the Washougal, so Palmer changed his story saying 'well maybe in the last two years...'. But it turns out there was even higher water at Tena Bar before 1977, particularly between 1971 and 1974. Here is the actual data.
Keep in mind, the Ingram money was found at the 10 ft elevation 40 feet up from the waterline. A few fragments were found at 2-2.5ft deep at a higher elevation near and south (upstream) of the Ingram find near the surface.
Every plant theory to date is a knee-jerk reaction which conflicts with actual facts! I wish people would spend their time reading this thread rather than shooting from the hip.
