Thanks for the Vortex and Venom Magnet attributions Bruce. I'll own them.

I doubt G will apologize, but I hope he will. I want him back. He gets grouchy at times but his intelligence and analytical skills benefit all of us.

All of us do careless, thoughtless or mean spirited things from time to time that should result in apologies. When I find that long periods of time have passed without me offering any contrition or apologies I don't assume that I have become perfect. I instead try to examine why I have not been contrite for my inevitable failings. I owe Sheridan Peterson an apology for example. He told me that he lived off a confidential numbered Singapore bank account when he was working in SE Asia.  I mentioned this info to someone who subsequently (without asking me) published it. Even though the information was likely inaccurate (Singapore did not have numbered bank accounts at that time) the publication angered Sheridan and he ended a friendship that I enjoyed a lot.

I hold no grudges against Sheridan. My offer to defend him pro bono if he is ever indicted for Norjak still stands. I think the chances of that happening are very low since there is absolutely no evidence putting him on the plane and the FBI has apparently lost cig butts that could have exculpatory DNA evidence on them.

This statement will likely piss him off even further but his book's text has benefited substantially from Snow's editing. It provides insight into who Sheridan is and how he became so virulently anti-US govt. I see lots of parallels to the Norjak heist in his story (walking along the banks of the Columbia River in winter with inadequate footwear, Grecco's night jump into unknown territory in N Vietnam and worrying about terrain altitude, offering the pilot a twenty as a tip etc) but that's no proof of culpability.

I just turned 70. I hope my remaining lifespan is long but the reality of mortality is sobering as you get closer to the normal endpoints. I REALLY want to see the Cooper case solved. I am a hopeless optimist and think that it will be solved in my lifetime.  To me it's the ultimate aviation mystery, surpassing even the disappearances of Amelia Earhart and Nungesser and Coli You are not allowed to view links. 377

In the spirit of contrition, I owe 377 an apology. After all, it was I who was confided in about Sheridan's numbered bank account and ultimately wrote about it in my report about Sheridan. I should have exercised discretion when revealing the details of the account according to Sheridan. That said, I did not. Unfortunately, this singular transgression on my part likely provided Sheridan the rationale for cutting off 377.

However, Sheridan is not absolved from his share of responsibility. He is an ass. Frankly, I don't particularly like the man. Indeed, there isn't much about him to like. He has been unkind to 377, snowmman, and me, in addition to others in his life whom I've gotten the opportunity to know personally. For that, he bears his own cross.

Some men see things as they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

Good grief!! Am I back in here?  If I am - THANKS DAVE!

wow - let me do some reading to catch up. In the meantime I am deep and I mean very deep, in Tosaw research and it is paying off with unexpected new info I will present as soon as possible. Lets just say I am happy I took this direction. I have talked to maybe 30+ people who either knew or worked with Tosaw and this is a real body of historical info to work through. We may be in for a few surprises here. As usual Tosaw did his homework, with a vengeance!  He covered every base he could think of then stretched out to numerous others for advice, multiple times, and Tosaw was rewarded with surprising information from experts ........... let me keep working on it. Thanks to those who are helping.

Good luck Eric with the Cooper con. Please keep us informed. I basically agree, whether 10 or 100 or 1000 its a good call and worthwhile. As promised here is a shout out to 377  - you got your wish and lets make the best of it!  Thanks for the long productive phone call - you are going to be surprised at the sold Toisaw info Ive turned up with more to come. Thanks for the support 77! ;)

********* it worked. I am back! Thanks Dave...

Reading assignment! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

My Tosaw research lead me back to three excellent articles written by Musika Farnsworth. While at Dropzone, Musika interviewed Tosaw but she also interviewed Ralph Himmelsbach in some depth. It's solid basic research in the Cooper case. Pay special attention to how Ralph explains the genesis of the Washougal Flight path to Musika.

Read all three of Musika's articles. She did solid research. Enjoy.

Welcome back, Georger. I eagerly await your Tosaw findings.

BTW, I trust you enjoyed my usage of your term "bundolas" in my little ditty about DB.

I would never ever risk calling her by that name. I called one of my kids by that name when he was little! מושי

In any event I discovered Farnsworth did some deep interviewing of Tosaw and Himmelsbach so her article is not only factual but clear and revealing . see if she will grant you an interview? That could be very interesting. I am sure she got background she didn;t include in her written articles.

Bundolas was for another time and space in a galaxy far away, now. Three packetolas today?    ;)

I looked at your trip planned. Nice trip so good luck with that. That could be a high point for people wanting to see the affected areas firsthand. I think you planned it well and almost wish I could go along, but I cant.

Stay tuned on the Tosaw report. When I got into this Tosaw became secondary - its what other people were doing and did that has become the focus. Tosaw's story involves a lot of other people from just after 1980 and the money find when Tosaw first got the idea to go to Portland ... clear up until 2005 and Galen's work with Tosaw. A lot happened between those dates. Not just with Tosaw but with others looking for Cooper evidence in the Columbia. It may be a compelling story.

Have fun on your trip.

Just a quick note. Im not going to post anything new or controversial because I want the focus to be on this coming weekend's events in Washington State. It took a lot of organising and planning to get that put together. Enjoy CooperCon 2019!  :chr2:

Tosaw etc can wait -

Along those lines, the weather forecast for November 24 in Portland is mid-high 40s during the day, with intermittent rain and showers. Sound familiar?

A sloshy Road Tour for sure... with NO Starbucks once we leave Orchards until we circle up to Woodland. Hard to imagine there isn't one! Not even in Amboy! Hmmmm... there might be one in Battleground if we look close enough.

I visited Tena Bar today and got a very cool picture of the "Tina Bar" sign with Mt. St. Helens in the background. Check it out at the link below.

Turn about 90 degrees clockwise from Mt. St. Helens (you would be looking basically to the Southeast) and you could get a picture of Mt. Hood on a clear day such as today seems to be in that area.

Has anyone ever heard of 'money' (bills) being found on Sauvie Island back in the eighties? A long time fisherman at Portland brought it up today. He says it was in the news at the time and he thinks was back in the 1980s. Anyone know anything about this?

I have done searches and find nothing. Bodies and long list of incidents at Sauvie Island recreational area - a kids billfold found there but they found the kid eventually - but nothing about money/bills being found on Sauvie Island ... in the 1980s?  Sure would like an answer to this and so would the fisherman at Portland who brought it up today. This fisherman, incidentally,  is legit. Still owns a charter company his son runs at Portland. He remembers Tosaw; he remembers the FBI excavating the Fazio property and Cooper money, that is how and why he and I wound up talking today because of my work on Tosaw. His question to me is: was the money found on Sauvie the same as money found on the Fazio property?

Money found on Sauvie Isle back in the eighties?    Anyone remember anything about this?

Sauvie Island isnt on the Columbia but west of the Fazio property ?

Eric, I trust that you are going to post what Captain Scott's daughter relates about the flight path as told to her by her father.

In return, I'll explain to you what the so-called "Phoenix Lights" of a few years ago actually were, assuming that you don't already know.  That information might be useful to you in some of your activities.

No they weren't.  Basically, everything you need to know is online or has been included in previous TV segments on the matter.  You just have to understand what you are seeing.
