A limnologist I spoke with today says, TK has misidentified photo 3B in his paper. The diatom in question is Tabellaria, not asterionella or fragilaria. Tabellaria blooms from Spring to summer.
is the species unique to the Columbia?

no, none of the TK species are unique to the Columbia. Tabellaria and Asterionella are commonly associated, the expert said, especially in the Columbia area. Tabellaria is a hardy diatom found clear up in northern Canada. We spent almost an hour discussing options for dating diatoms .... nothing really new emerged but the problem is on the table to be continued ...  this researcher told me a number of people saw Tom's paper when it was published and earmarked it, passed it around. I didnt have to give him a url - he already had Tom's paper on his computer from a fellow limnologist at the Univ of Washington! So Tom's paper got noticed .... which is nice. It was a good conversation today ...  a foundation for future discussion.

Hopefully more to be gleaned from this new cooper dub…

This is a valid Cooper bill which is included in the list of bills in Richard Tosaw's book.  For some reason, Flyjack has just posted on DZ that it is not in his own list of Cooper bills.

I'd want to ask Carr three questions:

1. What is your biggest personal regret regarding this case? What do you wish you had done differently in retrospect?

2. What is the biggest misconception about this case - even among the so-called "experts"? What's one thing everyone assumes but is totally wrong about?

3. What is your Unified Cooper Theory? How do you fit all the moving parts of the Cooper case into a reasonable theory including where and when he jumped and how the money arrived at Tena Bar?

I love your questions, Chaucer, especially the Unified Cooper Theory.

Maybe you can spin it into a Discovery Channel special! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. More cabbages for you and a new van. What does Marla think now that you are the Mayor of Cooperville ?  What's the Cooper-Putin connection? :o

Hey guys?

Has Clifford Dowson's name been brought up?

No what’s his story?

"Clifford was one of the two passengers on a flight from Oxford House to Island Lake, the other being Edward and John being the pilot of the Cessa 185. At approximately 11:00 A.M., John made a routine call stating he'd be landing in Garden Hill within fifteen minutes. However, the airplane never arrived." credit: "You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login"

He was also a prisoner of war.

Pros:
-Went missing in 1969
-Prisoner of war (indicating he's been in trouble before and somewhat of military experience)
-From Manitoba, Canada, which's one of the most poorest parts of Canada - why he'd hijack $200,000.
-Way over 40-years old.
-Facial description matches.

Cons:
-In 1971, he wouldn't been mid to late 50-years of age - maybe too old to be Cooper.
-5'8 height.
-Might've just died in that plane crash that was never found.

-Facial description matches. ?     The photo you post is a gross miss-match with the Cooper description. With all due deference how can you possibly say "-Facial description matches." ?  Look at the jaw line just for starters . . . you might as well say: 'the FBI description of DB Cooper is totally wrong and DB Cooper may have looked like Grandma Moses or Marilyn Monroe.' Your photo truly is a massive miss-match, or I am blind.

Schiffer confirmed that they sent a complimentary copy of "D. B. Cooper and Flight 305" to Agent Larry Carr at his address in Snoqualmie WA, and that it was delivered 01.06.2022 (however, left at front door and not signed for).

I'm going by the people who saw him. Like one of the passengers said, " he had a square jaw" and Mitchell saying " he had a saggy chin". I'm going by those two things. Square jaw and saggy chin means he was older man with good bone structure. I think he matches well with the composite sketch. Why not? I'm not comparing the sketch to Walter Reca.

Now am I saying this guy is Cooper. NO. Just bringing up another name.

re this image:

The serial is on page 176 of fbi file 55 (the original distributed list of serials)

L32847104A 1969 page 176 row 44 group E
cropped png attached.

I don't see how that could be contested?

EDIT: oh, I just saw the posts describing where the image came from and the story behind it, at dropzone.com. No one is contesting that it's a legit bill. Just unclear how the woman got it.

I'd estimate the bill should be sold for between $10k and $20k

There has been some discussion about the "newly found" bill and how coincidental it is that I was publishing info about a plan to create counterfeit cooper bills a couple months back.

My plan was foolproof, so I don't really need to say anything.
I leave it to the groundlings to wonder.

Andrew asked about a list of Cooper serials.
I had posted notice of what I claim is the most accurate list of Cooper serials on the planet, on this thread, but got no feedback at the time.
I am reposting the link to my original announcement, in case it's useful to anyone.

What I said to Andrew:
I published the info about the list of serials I created, and how to get it from google drive in this post
I have not gotten any feedback. I did a bunch of work creating a valid list of serials in text form
I'd be happy if you reviewed my work and/or commented on the presentation/format.

see this post

There is no better list of serials available anywhere on the planet. Also, this is all in usable form for automated search/compare etc.
Notes on apparent errors included.
Also notes on errors at check six site.

I provided the source info.

so if I understand this, you were one of the passengers on flight 305? Along wqith the other passenger "Mitch" who you talk to every night these days.

Where did you sit? How much time did you spend with Cooper? Did you think something was going on?

Tell us all about it!

What are your questions about Iraq? Just curious. I didn't know Larry was in Iraq. Military?
