Is anyone having trouble seeing the smiley's while making a post? they are all broken links on this side. the path seems to be fine. I don't know if it's an issue only on my side?

not me

Thanks, the problem is on this side only.....more settings to go through...great.  8)

Added...I have my tablet running, and it's shows the smiley link broken. I have the site on my phone, and it shows the smiley working? computer, and tablet, no smiley. phone, smiley.....oh well.

I could send our IT Dept over!  :)  Im using Firefox and have 13 emoticons plus one labelled cheesy grin and another cool.

I'm sure it's the computer. this thing is on it's last leg. time for a new one. when I open several different sites it will lock up sometimes. it was all showing up yesterday. If it's only a problem here seeing it, I'm not going to bother with it for awhile.

Welcome to the forum airTwardo. feel free to browse the forum, or ask any questions you might need about any of the functions here. it's a tad bit high techy. we have auto links, highlighting, video embedding, sidebar chat, a photo gallery, video & link vault, multiple topics. I think that's it :) once again, welcome.

Andy Downs, son of hijacked pilot Brent Downs who was killed in the hijacking will be joining this forum to speak about his story. should be very interesting hearing first hand what really happened. this happened October 4, 1971, just weeks before Cooper.

Apparently the hosting service here didn't fix the database issues. I submitted another ticket for them to find the reason the site goes down for periods of minutes, to an hour. this will be the fifth ticket made on this problem. so, if you come to the site and it's down. it shouldn't be but more than a couple minutes. hopefully they will resolve the problem this time around.

They just responded to my ticket"

Hello David,

The issue has been resolved and your website should be back online now at this time. Please let us know if you continue to experience the issue.

Sorry about that....:)

The forum is under attack. I've deleted 10 spammers registering today. I had to put the registration on Administration only mode until the reason can be discovered. I sent a ticket to the server. they had an alert about similar attacks on word press sites. so, until this is sorted out, registration will be on a approved basis until further notice. they are coming in at alarming rates trying to post advertising on the forum.

Ok, my server told me to include captcha into the forum. I don't like trying to read those stupid numbers & letters all deformed. they came back with which seems to be a very good alternative, it's called cloudflare. it's free, and easy to sign up to. I think I'll try it out.....

It watches over your site, it speeds the site up, it also keeps the site up even if the server goes down. :)

Ok, minutes later and cloudflare has been activated. let me know if the site loads any faster? it had four options for security. High, Medium, Low, and I'm under attack. I'm pretty sure you know which one I picked.....

If you see the picture below while coming into this site. don't be alarmed. it's part of the Cloudflare software put in place that acts as a guardian against any attacks, hackers, or anything dangerous. the site is now what they call "pointing" to another site, or redirect.

I have added the transcripts to the forum. they are from Sluggo's website. I acknowledged where they came from, along with providing a link to his website. hopefully he won't mind linking the two. the thread is locked since the only purpose is to access the files. I thought it would be quicker to access them from here when needed.

I believe Larry Carr provided all information on those links to Sluggo.

Sean Walsh PM'd me on DZ asking to register onto this forum. I told him to give me a time frame in which I will open the door allowing him in. I'm assuming he is still interested in the case. I'm currently working on a spam guard that will stop them from registering on the forum. as you already know I had to disable registration until a fix can be provided.

Added: I just installed a program called "Stop Forum Spam" this will catch any known spam IP's and hopefully refuse them from entering. I'm opening the registration to see if it works....

Shutter,
Is there a way registration requests have to be approved by you before the person gets registered?  Or, would you got lots of Spam entries to wade through?  You pretty much know who all of the  registrants are.
