I've taken flyjack's list, and annotated it with links to the zoomable PCGS images whenever they existed. I found 31 on his list. The 32nd is a partial serial number that PCGS has listed but is not on flyjack's list. I didn't  immediately find that link again, but I know it exists.

i.e. PCGS listed
L382xxxxx

you can click on the link and then click on the image to zoom around. You can also click to get to the back of the bill (bottom of your screen there). These links go to the front of the bills at first.

The highest price I saw (last sold) was this bill
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

for $5975

range of prices on others...some only a couple hundred dollars (the small partials)

There are others without serials. Those are probably worth less.

Seems possible to buy up all these bills and corner the market. Maybe Blevins should get in this game.

Just another interesting historical memo from 12/27/71

This one directly says someone at McChord drew up a flight path map.,,
"flight chart map"

Later memos in 73 said the McChord person had transferred to Asia, and that to get the radar data, the FBI would have to get military command approval.

That was noted, because in '73, some agent (in a memo) questioned whether the flight data could be  in error, given someone reporting a jet flying at 5000 feet over their house in '71 east of the flight path.

On 12/27/71, <redacted> Northwest Airlines, called and advised he would arrive in Seattle at 12:40 PM on 12/28/71, on Northwest Airlines Flight #15 so that he may confer with Agents of this office in order to plan for the simulated flight during the week of 1/3/72.

He then called later and asked if it is possible to determine the identity of the person who drew up the flight chart map from McChord AFB so that he can discuss with them the time schedule and minute variations and locations of the flight at given times during the night.

Found the FBI memo with the 7pm to 9pm  weather on 11/24/71 . memo was 12/9/71

attached.

Just looking at Portland, OR (they also have Eugene, Salem and Toledo in the memo)
Interesting: in Portland it only started raining around 6:35 PM

in the past, I'd been wondering about the wind direction and speed around PDX.
Seems like the wind wasn't blowing from the flight path towards Tena Bar.
directions below are the "from" direction.

I remember when we asked Ckret for this basic info, he couldn't find it exceptable for an unreadable teletype.

7PM Portland, Oregon: 2,000 feet scattered, measured 3,400 feet broken, 5,000 feet overcast, 15 mile visibility, very light rain showers, temperature 46, wind SE 4 knots. Rain began at 6:35 p.m.

8PM Portland, Oregon: 1,500 scattered, measured 2,700 broken, 5,000 feet overcast. 7 miles visibility, light rain showers, temperature 42, wind west 10 knots.

9PM Portland, Oregon: Measured 3,100 feet, broken, 5,000 feet overcast, 10 miles visibility, light rain showers, temperature 44, wind south 11 knots. Few cumliofactue clouds at 1,500 feet.

Portland betweeen 8pm and 9pm
Wind direction Speed      Height Above Sea Level
              225 degrees   20 knots    7000 ft
              230 degrees   25 knots    5000 ft
              235 degrees   20 knots    2000 ft
              235 degrees   15 knots    surface

This memo is in response to another memo, where someone in Amboy reported a jet flying low, with all lights flashing.

This memo says the Flight 305 crew said that couldn't have been them, due to the distance of the flight path from Amboy (7 nautical miles) and they had their lights off, except for nav lights.

And they said they were flying on instruments. This is interesting, there have been other memos not from the crew, suggesting they may have been on autopilot.

They say they were "in the soup" and in the clouds, at 10,000 ft.
Sounds like it wasn't autopilot, just flying with instruments??

But wouldn't a passenger jet always be flying with instruments? they're not going to fly just visual.

Wonder if this memo implied autopilot?
At the very least, confirms they were flying in clouds.

auto-pilot was used for most of the flight path.

Yes I've read that in a memo noting a conversation in determining the DZ..the NWA person said auto-pilot meant the crew might not have detected the jump and should search south to the Columbia.

But we don't have anything where the crew is saying they were on autopilot? just someone from NWA not on the crew?

I believe Rataczak is on record somewhere also saying the plane was on auto-pilot.

several reasons could be the factor. it would insure them of a stable 10,000 feet and also stay inline with V-23. I have doubts that it was on from Lake Merwin to the Columbia.

Going to look in the direction Tom K is steering

Looking at the history of CRT making at Tektronix, especially the '60s.

"In 1964, Tektronix introduced illuminated, titanium dioxide, photo-deposited internal graticles, which allowed the use of conventional incandescent edgelighting like that used for external graticles"

Are we still looking for CRT phosphors plus titanium or no?

The new information about 'frit' seems like a big one to me.
Textronix had a variety of phosphors: names like
P31, P1, P2, P7, P11 P32 options.
Have to see what those phosphors were made of.

MgO was added sometimes.

Looking at storage scopes mostly here. TomK may not be familar with storage scopes.
377 would be.
