Murder case solved using just 15 cells of DNA. I’m sure you are all familiar with just how little dna that is. I’ve spoke with Mr. Mittleman before. He was very interested in the Cooper Hijacking. Everybody here would like him, he is very down to earth and humble. He is an emerging Rock Star in the Science/Forensics community.

OK Chaucer.  Sorry to do this but I am going off topic just for a moment since there is not much going on in the Cooper world at the moment.

So do you believe Arthur Leigh Allen is a strong Zodiac suspect?  I have seen some of the research.  I think I would tend to doubt its him?

Put me down SOLIDLY in the corner of Charles Allen Lechmere being Jack The Ripper.  Kosinski is the only other viable suspect but far more holes can be shot in the case for him.   I really believe it was Lechmere.  The guy looks like a monster to boot.

Try to answer the Zodiac question without a scolding about "off topic".  I am a long standing member of some other forums, and I understand the protocol.  But this breaks up a rather boring and desperate search that is now at another standstill.  Referring to DB.  Who was probably a bit more lucky than good. But he was certainly ahead of his time. You cant do anything in this new world of electronics.  But of course if we lose power/electricity, we are back to square one. Gas generators and batteries will get you so far.

I think I am getting a motion trail camera for Xmas.  Anyone here have any thoughts on the best one under $200?  Right now Im leaning Spypoint.  Its for wildlife detection.  Not to find Cooper.  Sure Id rather have a drone, but my son in law just crashed his.

I'm not Chaucer, but I'll take a stab at this. ALA is the McCoy of the Zodiac case. He was strongly investigated, to the point that if he were Zodiac, it would have been closed long ago. Jack the Ripper is too old to solve at this point. These are just my opinions.

I would agree with this. When someone first becomes interested in the Zodiac case, they almost always begin with the idea that ALA is the killer - primarily because of Graysmith’s books. Spend a little time seriously researching the case, and you realize that he was eliminated as a suspect 25 years ago based upon DNA, fingerprints, handwriting, and witness statements.

But as with many Cooper suspects, people ignore obvious evidence to shill for certain people.

Are you still sleuthing the Zodiac case?  If so, how is it going?  This is first time I have logged in here in a while.  Has Bruce popped in at all?  Later

Chaucer:
I'm dabbling in the Zodiac case now. The Cooper thing has my full attention at the moment.

Bruce finished his sojourn to the Caribbean and is back in the States. He tells me he is doing well.

I saw that Tom Voigt was at the most recent Cooper Con. Does he have a POI in regards to Cooper that you're aware of? Seems like someone (maybe Nick) mentioned that Voigt had moved on from Gaikowski as Zodiac. A bit surprising if that is the case, he was all in on Gaik for quite a while.
