I'm getting the feeling I've been punked. keep in mind April 1st is coming....... 8)

Coopsnoop:
Ok, sorry Shutter.  I'll mind my manners and watch my language.  Sorry Georger, well......sorta.  On another note:  my 4th grade grand-daughter came home last week with a copy of "Into the Blast, the TRUE story of D.B. Cooper."  She really liked it and apparently the teacher is using the book for reading outloud.   But my 4th grader couldn't understand a few things about the book;
1.  If DBC used a square chute in 71 and jumped under blue skies during the day (book cover) why couldn't the FBI find him?  And the other picture shows Cooper landing at day on a prairie.   (back cover).
2.  If Captain Scott went back to 18E to meet and have a conversation with DBC, wouldn't Scott have been the "best" eyewitness?  (page 27).
3.  If DBC landed near the Lewis River near Paradise Point State Park, why would he bury the money upstream of the LR drainage into the Columbia River?  (page 37, 39).
4.  Could DBC really see the street signs at the intersection of NW 389th St. and NW 3rd Ave late at night?  Our teacher says those streets didn't have signs in 1971.  (page 36).
5.   The book says that, "Mr. Porteous is widely quoted in various news media."   But why has Mr. Porteous been unquoted "anywhere" since his book came out?  Is Mr. Porteous still in hiding?
  (page 143).

Anyway, 4th graders are pretty sharp and ask good questions.  They can't wait for the sequel(s), or the revised versions.

You say:

"eye color = blue
had a serious case of receding hairline (aka ale pattern baldness ;) going on at the time
Claims he can prove he was in living in Nepal at the time and that children were born there.
Since he 's not been arrested for the caper, maybe the prints and DNA didn't match?

Just looking at qualifications Sheridan Peterson would make a great candidate, but you can't list his qualifications without also listing the stuff that you have to explain away by  things like colored contacts, wigs, surreptitious flights back into the US, and the FBI screwed up so they have no prints/dna to compare against.
Just saying there might be reasonable explanations or ways to exclude the items I listed, but on the face of it they do impinge on his qualifications"

I say:   DB Cooper spent time showing off his eye color to two Flight Attendants and close up before putting on the Sun Glasses for the remainder of his flight. Everything he did was for a reason as he really had planned his caper for a long time. I believe he had cosmetic brown contact lens to made his eyes look brown to the Flight Attendants and cover his true color of blue. Simple disguise to fool the FBI using the brown colored contacts.
Sheridan did not have a problem with hair baldness as can be seen in his photo from the Boeing News paper advertizing the new Boeing Skydiving Club. In fact, his photo matches the FBI blown-up sketch on the wall at the Tacoma Museum DB Cooper display. That was noticed by Meyer Louis while we were all there for the show. Partial receding of the hair line as in the FBI sketch. Sheridan's qualifications make him a standout suspect and probably #1 at least in my book. His alibi that he was in Nepal doesn't mean much as a two day trip or less puts him in Portland (Nepal to Bangkok to Portland or Seattle - two flights). Did he have someone else present at the birth of one of his children in Nepal to complete the "Perfect Alibi"? The question of finger prints that the FBI could get from the plane have been in question as DB could have covered his fingers prints with airplane cement so none would be left. DNA on tie clasp could have been from his female partner that helped him get dressed.

HOWEVER - This needs to be done!
The DNA from under the stamps/envelope flaps of the four letters sent to the newspapers following Norjak is still waiting for the FBI to look at and compare with what they have from Sheridan taken by the two female FBI agents. A match places him at the scene of the crime in Portland and blows away his Perfect Alibi of being in Nepal.

Coopsnoop:
Hey Georger:

4th grade teach decided to ditch the book, Blast, and send all of them into the trash.  The kiddies spotted too many factual errors, too many made-up fables, and an author that kept repeating only one piece of alleged witness accounting that formed the basis for the entire book.  Smart bunch, those 4th graders.  They decided to go back to "cat in the hat" series which offers better information.
snoop.
