My first pic you posted has things backwards..I marked in black the correct location..

The "car" with a circle in the left picture is actually on the Fazio property about the feeding lot and is nowhere close to the money find location.

That's a joke, right? the car is to the right of the money spot looking from the Columbia...

Looking at the picture on the left, it is the larger blue circle with the tree circled that denotes the precise money find spot. The money find spot is very near the center of this circle, right behind the tree's leaves, on the correlating FBI trench line

Yes, I believe it's an outhouse, tucked in the woods, on the other side of the small gravel road relative to the river. It is still there today.

Now, if you look at the photo of the beach south to north, at the top where the red circle is look to the left and you will see the containment pond...

Tree #2 is no longer there. Tree #1 may still exist. Today, there is a small grove of trees in the spot that tree #1 occupies. It is in this spot that I broke my finger and nearly killed myself last November hiking up a steep embankment of about 12 feet.

Robert, what leads you to believe the car in the photo is nowhere near the money location?

The money find spot is approximately 80 feet northwest of where the car is parked.

several clear views of the curves in the road can be seen..Tom shows the curved road on his site but that's the one south of the angled road/path...close to the containment pond...

Yes, I believe it's an outhouse, tucked in the woods, on the other side of the small gravel road relative to the river. It is still there today.

EU, in 2013 when Meyer Louie and I were there, a fellow named "Jon" took me on a little tour to the north of Tina Bar to show me how bad the erosion problem was.  He pointed out that building and said it was an outhouse.

Jon also showed me a place along the water line in the area of that building where boulders weighing several tons had been placed to help counter the erosion.  These boulders were so large that they would have had to be moved there by barge and placed in the water by a big-time crane.

And as I remember it we were on ground or a ridge that was quite high and had to look down to see the boulders.  Your money find location must be on a slope of that ridge.

Everything I have seen of the FBI digging indicates that they were in an area with a relatively small slope.  The Brian Ingram picture shows such an area and I presume he was close to the location where he found the money.

For those who haven't been to Tena Bar, it's very cool. Especially when you're familiar with the place and where everything stood back in 1980.

I'd say it's worth a visit but I know that Richard Fazio generally prefers to avoid having people visit the site for liability reasons. That is part of what made visiting it from the river itself via pontoon boat so cool.

The spot itself is usually about 10 feet offshore under about six inches of water.
