In reply to shutter it looks like the month is not in eglish to me

it's blurry but fits November IMO...maybe it was taken outside of the US....It's a attempt to be Cooper so I don't think it matters. the overcoat doesn't fit either..or the glasses...or the hair.or smokes..lol

March 1971 fits. Its not November 71. If its not a 1971 calendar its some other year - no other mathematical possibility. I tried 1970 but no fits there.

The "1" looks red/holiday? if so then January '73 or '79 are the only possibilities in the 70's

They are red only because they are all Sundays - on the left side of the calendar.

Yes, the Sundays are red but when I super-zoom in on the pic the "1st" a Monday also looks red, a holiday, that only happened in a 31 day month for Jan '73 or Jan '79 in the seventies.

appears to be March..the cycle runs every 7 years...1977 has the same for March

The calendar has 31 days with the 1st being on a Monday and it and the Sundays are printed in red which means that the 1st was also a holiday.  The month name is unreadable but the year appears to have a 7 as the third digit.

I suggest that the month name is not printed in English.  I think the first of January would be in red automatically in the western countries.

I don't know anything special about the first of March.

The first of May is important in some European countries but I don't know if it is a formal holiday.  And the name seems to be much to long to be May.

I don't know anything special about the first of July, August, October, or December.

So again, I doubt if this is a USA or Canadian calendar that is printed in English.

ADDED:  May 1st is also Labor Day in Mexico.

good point if it is not North American, who knows..

if it is US then can only be Jan 73 or 79 (seventies)

if Canada then July 74, Jan 73 or Jan 79 (seventies) July is Juillet in French Canada, January is Janvier

Reca said that he asked for "unused $20 bills." We all know that didn't happen.

Claims he didn't know what kind of plane he was on. We all know that's not true.

Was wrong about the type of parachute (main or reserve) that was opened on the plane.

And yet Vern Jones, the head of the publishing company, had this to say:

“We were willing to overlook the story,” Jones said. “But what kept us driving was that every time we checked something that Carl gave us or that Walter had said, everything seemed to be confirmed. We didn’t run into anything that’s not true. It was the overwhelming evidence.”

It begs the question ---- where were they doing their fact checking? The Jo Weber School of Thought?

I haven't heard any type of explanation for the Tena Bar money find as of yet.  If the eyewitness saw a man in a black suit carrying a package that night, wouldn't he approach the authorities at that time with his story?  The skyjacking was pretty big news in that area and its hard to imagine someone seeing an individual fitting the skyjackers description and not reporting it for decades.

1.) I am also curious about their explanation for the money find. I still can't believe that literally not one single person asked a question during the open Q&A. It was just awkward crickets for a minute and then "Okay thanks for coming!" Really wish someone would have asked about the money.

2.) I agree that the idea of Cooper being in a diner dressed as the hijacker, soaking wet, asking for directions and carrying a bag would have sounded an alarm with SOMEONE in there. The witness Jeff says he didn't put 2 and 2 together because the diner was so far east. My question is how Jeff would remember such an insignificant event 40+ years later. (If you were sitting in a diner and a guy asked you for directions, would you remember that 4 decades later??) Highly doubtful.

Found the exact coords for the tree in the trailer,,, way way off the "flightpath"

looks like the plane would have had to have flown East of Mount Rainier

Terrific find.

Do you know how far this is from the diner where Reca supposedly interacted with the witness Jeff? They mentioned the intersection of where the diner was located (sorry, don't have that info on hand right now).

They claim that this interaction in the diner happened within an hour of the plane taking off from Seattle (or it may have been an hour within the time of the jump). I'd love to know how far this landing spot is from the diner to see how fast Reca would have had to move to get there within an hour. And don't forget --- Reca claims to have injured his leg in the landing, so we'll need to take that into account in determining how fast he would have had to move to get to the diner in time.

Tina Bar is about 130 miles from Cle Elum, as the crow flies.  Is there anybody out there who doesn't believe the money went through the dredge after seeing the news footage of money shards 3 feet under where the bundle(s) were found?  Looks like the Reca folks have some "splainin" to do.

The Tavern is in Spokane about 200 miles East of the "tree" 3-4 hour drive.. (where Reca was recruited by spooks)

Spokane?? I thought they said the diner was around 4 miles outside of Cle Elum(?). When I get more time later on I can go back and dig for that information again to try and clarify.

You are right, the Spokane diner was where he was recruited by spooks...

It was the Teanaway Junction Café where the truck driver met Reca.

That's right. (Mixup over tavern and diner.)  Any idea how far the diner is from the alleged landing zone?
