... Step right in and interview him. You're entitled. You're an investigative reporter... Be sure to fuck it up for everyone else! Let us know when he slams the door on you.

I'll give you a full report.

All,

Anyone else see this, or am I late to the news. Came out early this morning. Colbert states: ""This letter proves to me that there's been a cover-up and continues to be a cover-up on this case."

Investigators: D.B. Cooper letter confirms suspect, FBI cover-up
A fifth Cooper letter obtained through FOIA, allegedly from the real hijacker, team says, FBI not interested in revisiting case

love these letter signed by "DB Cooper" and not "Dan Cooper"
I have a feeling after he was called DB Cooper that he went with it.

I have a question for the people that voted none of the above in the poll, who is the other person that you suspect? I haven't voted yet but I suspect Rackstraw or Peterson.

One thing that had me wondering about Rackstraw was the interview that they showed on Cold Case where he was interviewed by KNBC. I have tried to find the video of that online and can only find the transcript. Does any one have video of that?

Cooper has never been identified so the title "Unknown Subject" still applies.

It makes the poet inside of me smile to hear you say that, DC, but it does seem far-fetched.

I believe the interview was conducted over the phone. When the NBC film crew showed up at Rackstsraw's, he bailed. He then also denied being DB Cooper.

What? No votes for Don Burnworth or Ted Braden? Areyoukiddingme?

My vote goes to Who Dat, which is what I think most folks will say when we find out the real DB Cooper

I wish you could choose multiple suspects in this poll. I like Peterson, Rackstraw, and McCoy. All 3 had the skills to do it.

The Bulldog is celebrating Roy Moore's defeat. I keep in touch with Sheridan. I can only hope that  I look as good and think as clearly as he does when I am in my 90s. He is up to the minute on all sorts of news subjects, reads widely and digs deep.

Sheridan has ALL the skills to have pulled off NORJACK successfully.  But he is also a principled person who has experienced severe beatings as a child, seen war atrocities up close and abhors violence. I just can't picture him threatening to kill an innocent crew just to get money.

I think Burnworth is a dead ringer for the FBI sketches. He was also a UAL 727 Captain and had extraordinarily detailed knowledge of that aircraft's systems having authored a US patent on a way to improve the safety of the power distribution buss on 727s. He was broke too.

But for eye color Braden makes a great DBC. The MAC SOG night jungle jumps in Nam were PERFECT training for a NORJACK jump. The included successful ground rendezvous with team members using a simple AM BC band beacon and Japanese transistor radios as DFs.

To this day I wonder how the hell Braden, a Nam combat deserter, was reinstated in the Army with no loss of rank after being arrested as a Merc in Africa. General Singlaub personally intervened. What cards did Braden hold to obtain such an extraordinary outcome?

I am a Republican, and I didn't care for Moore. People can disagree on politics, but how well we treat others is how we should be judged.

See, this is why I like SP, even though he's one of my top contenders for DBC. I don't know as much about Burnworth and Braden, but will dig further along this massive forum! Looking forward to reading Bruce's book; I'm sure it's quite comprehensive. Of the other two, does anyone know if they had, y'know, ALIBIS for November 24? Twas the night before Thanksgiving, after all. :)
