Property records?

looks like it has to be in person..

"To research previous owners of property in Clackamas County, visit the Recording Division of the Clackamas County Clerk's office"

Is the county appraiser also on the site, or did you find the info needed?

I found the current "assessment" record only online..  not the historical records.

Looks like this county requires in person historical records search.. Since I am in Canada it might be a while before I get down there..

sometimes you can call and get records...check first..
Does that county have its own newspaper/letter? I only ask because in my little hometown, people from away would often write letters to the local paper asking for info, and people would sometimes go out of their way to get it for them. Also, many smaller towns/cities have Facebook pages - buy and sell, historical or "memories" pages - as their histories may be written down nowhere outside the town. I feel you on having this obsession when nowhere near the DZ! Even for fiction, it's frustrating - I'd give anything to be able to access the Portland public library archives for city and airport descriptions in 1971. The closest I've gotten was that Super -8 film some kid (at the time) shot of sections of downtown Portland, and DavidV's airport description.

I know, I am actually about 4.5 hours drive from Portland and have a bunch of things to check out in person. The wife loves road trips so we just have to set aside a few days..

Good. So we now have "person of interest", "principle investigative officer", "public information officer". God forbid there is a fourth and fifth PIo to have to keep track of. I wonder what ABCD stands for?

Well, "person of interest" is POI, while "principal investigating officer" and "public information officer" are both PIO. So it's as easy as ABCD (which is traditionally short for "Abracadabra" and in modern terms means "Asset-based community development.")

LOL! There was a gum in the late 70s or early 80s that was advertised as the "gum that goes squirt", leading to a lot of grade school refs to - um, the runs as "the bum that goes squirt". Really ruined that gum for me.

I am researching a tight group of three POI(s)... accomplices?

one was a fighter pilot in Europe (1960's) business partner with person identified in "Dan Cooper" comic
one was in an environment that matched all the tie particles from 66-71 (dental lab - best match so far) have video of him flying over TBAR/Vancouver Lake
one is an exact match to the 2nd Cooper sketch (never seen a closer match)

Not proof, still trying to unravel it.

Is interest in the Cooper Skyjacking Fading? Are only old coots still interested in sleuthing, and holding the flame? No, I don't think so. Here are the demographics:

Over 60 years-old:
1. Me - 68
2. 377 - about the same
3. Georger - 150+
4. R99 - 80-something
5. Jo Weber - ahem....

40-60:
1. Shut
2. Marty
3. Mark B. (maybe)
4. Nimi Wrecks
5. Brian R
6. Parrot (maybe)
7. Meyer
8. Galen
9. Clyde Lewis at Ground Zero radio
10. RMB
11. Lynn (maybe)
12. Flyjack (maybe)

Young Turks, 20-40:
1. Derek
2. Nicky
3. Dovid
4. EVick (maybe)

Thank you for leaving me off the list, Bruce... for you unwittingly did me a big favor...

Intriguing. Awaiting chapter 2.
