Gibson's is on the Sunshine Coast, near Sechelt. Gorgeous part of the world.

Yup. I've been there, on the way to Lund. One of the ferry terminals is in Sechelt, no?

Yep, that's the one you'd arrive at. Gibson's is in the same area as Sechelt.

Oops, Lynn. When you invited us for a beer/tea/coffee, somehow I assumed you were in Minneapolis, not Toronto / Ontario. I forgot.

I'm not sure I have ever been to T. Maybe as a kid on a family vacation.

Yes, I've been around quite a bit but never made it to Minneapolis - which I will forever totally associate with Mary Tyler Moore. And please tell me there's really a St. Olaf. Betty White can't have lied to me.

Funny how I only got interested in this case after moving back to the east - I lived in Vancouver BC for about 15 years but never even made it over the border. Ah, opportunities lost. I still have friends there and may visit down the road. If I I ever did make it to the Portland-Seattle area, are there any sweet DBC permanent exhibits?

Before you leave home, check out what the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma, WA has in their current exhibit on DBC.  It may, or may not, have some items that you would be interested in.

No, unfortunately.

That is one reason why I think of starting a DB Cooper Tour Company.

The WSHM had talked about integrating some of its COOPER Exhibit material from the 2013 display into its permanent collections, but I haven't heard if they have done any of that.

Last time I was at WSHM (last fall for the Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit), none of the DB Cooper stuff was still on display.

That's what I figured. Last time I was there the museum's bookstore was getting rid of all of its Cooper books. They refused to carry mine, flat out.

Oddly, the COOPER Exhibit was well-attended. I was there three times and most times a lot of people were visiting.

If only the MAD MEN finale had exposed Don Draper as DB Cooper.

It would have fanned the fires of public interest big time. Maybe some new leads would have been generated.

Like it or not, the legend is fading. Cobert has helped slow the attenuation, but the trajectory is clear.

Most young people have no idea who DB Cooper is.
