The unlabeled TAG Team test flight crew photo <> shows Soderlind - back row fifth from left. <>The tall person in the tan shirt misidentified at DZ is in fact NWA Chief Pilot (Western Region) Elwood Lee.

Many thanks for the clarification. In that case is it a correct inference that Elwood Lee was the pilot in command on the sled test flight (not William Scott as frequently reported)?

Im not sure Elwood was the pilot on that flight - I would have to check my notes. But the TAG team photo was originally posted and given to a few others including me, by Hominid years ago. I dont recall where Hominid got his copy .... maybe Sluggo?

Scott was not on the sled test flight.  But Rataczak was the co-pilot and Anderson was again acting as the flight engineer.  It should be remembered that Anderson was also a rated NWA co-pilot as well as being a flight engineer.

Here is the labeled photo everyone seems to be looking for - was published years ago at DZ.

And the name is not Sunderland ... it is Soderlind.

Here is a better version of the original photo - add your own labels...

HBO Docu

It's coming up on Wednesday - "The Mysteries of DB Cooper." Here's a review by Doug Perry at the Oregonian. He loved it.

Reading Doug Perry's review, I can only conclude that the "documentary" is mostly baloney.

Jo Weber never came up with anything to even prove that her Cooper candidate knew one end of an airplane from another.  This despite his familiarity with the insides of half the prisons in the USA.

Marla is just trying to leverage her 15 minutes of fame into another five minutes.  Absolutely nothing supports her candidate.

Barb Dayton?  Not a chance.  But maybe her shrink could explain what he/she/whatever was trying to accomplish with her claims.

McCoy is the only one of the four candidates that could possibly pull it off.  Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any evidence whatsoever to connect him with the Cooper hijacking.

If Tina Mucklow and Bill Rataczak are interviewed as promised, maybe they can produce some new insights on the Cooper matter.  And that will be the saving grace of this program.

Hi All,

I hate asking this, but my family and I have hit a small financial road bump and we could use some help. I have provided my book in digital form to anyone on the forum who has asked for it, and I have sent free books to a few people as well. I will still do so to anyone who asks, however, if you are able, please You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. Thank You.

He says his favorite suspect manager is: Jo Weber.  He seems to say she had an actual 'witness/revelation' ...... like Paul on the road to Damascus. Never mind that poor Paul had been riding a donkey all day, his ass was killing him, .......... he has a revelation!                Anyone might have a revelation: if their ass is killing them!

Yup, and Flyjack also found the YouTube interview with the director, John Dower. Here are the two links:

The FULL show..  I downloaded it, might get deleted.

I loved the docu, and I loved being in it!

But there are plenty of outstanding elements of the show to love, especially the heavy screen time of the crew.

1. Tina - extensive interviews. She is great in front of the camera.
2. Bill - extensive interviews. He looks a lot healthier than in the HC docu in 2016.
3. Andy - FINALLY APPEARS, and he ain't dead!
4. Bernie Rhodes - talks a lot about McCoy.
5. Jerry Thomas has extensive screen time.
6. SA Bob Fuhriman - lots of screen time, and is the only FBI agent from the early days of Norjak.
7. Frank Montoya - Gawd does he looks slimy. He's the guy who closed the case as Seattle SAC from 2014-2016
8. Rena Ruddell, Barb's daughter, and lots of her family, too. Plus Ron and Pat Forman.
9. Nick O'Hara, the guy who shot McCoy - lots of screen time talking about that case.
10. Bill Mitchell has plenty of screen time.

The docu covers four suspects: Barb Dayton, Duane Weber, Richard McCoy, and LD Cooper. It features Jo Weber, the Formans, and Marla (of course).

Production values are excellent, and there is a TON of great archival footage to support the whole narrative. As Dower says in his interview, they didn't set out to prove who DB Cooper is. Rather, it is a docu more about belief, and the phenomenon of DB Cooper.

For the record, I DON'T remember saying, "I want to be DB Cooper!" but it's there on film. Hmmm....

One gripe: they reversed the seating, with Mitchell on the starboard side, and Tina and Danny on the port side. Don't know why since the voice-over correctly states the facts of who sat where.

Nice job on the show, Bruce.  It really seemed to be about people whose lives were consumed with thinking they've found DB Cooper.  Entertaining....The History Channel show is still the best, but I liked this one.
