This would be a perfect place to hang-out with Tom and talk dinosaurs. I've been to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, and it is a lovely gathering. Mostly small-scale, so folks are available to talk. But it's vast and sprawling. There is a lot there. Lots to see.

Speaking of Tucson, I just talked to my NY Ex. She's in Tucson visiting her brother, but she's going to the ballet tonight with her sister in law. Some day I'd like to hangout down there for spring training. Everything's moved to Phoenix, though. Nobody's in Tucson any more, I hear. Maybe Florida and the Yankees. I'm craving palm trees and warm weather, too. Though it's 56 degrees here in Cooper Country. Just set a record - 31 days of rain in January. Woo-hoo. My previous personal best had been 22 straight days of rain, in February.

Tom and I talked money issues ... more to follow.

I highly recommend perusing FBI Cooper FOIA dump #45, it's entertaining to see how much energy the FBI spent investigating a guy who apparently drowned in Aug of 1969.

Why, is it interesting? (to you) ?  What does it prove? Are you saying it is an example of bad investigation, wasted, when people could have been doing better more productive things?

I was just sitting here thinking, asking myself, where in the long tired history of Cooper forums and Cooper geniuses, has anybody ever formulated an actual "proposal" for researching some aspect of the Cooper case, and then gone out and done it! Well, here is one proposal that the author made sure got press attention, then the project either got snagged, got too complicated to conduct, or died due to too many cards in the hands of a High Stakes Hold Em" dreamer. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Proposals are key to the world we live in. Proposals for academic research, books, bank loans and businesses, going to war, ............ everything!  Proposals are hatched between people in Cooperland to out and destroy other people - all done from the anonymity some people enjoy in Cooperland and use to conduct their 'business'.

Lacking concrete proposals, people stumble around for years making claims, launching attacks to eliminate the competition ...  and Dropzone is full of these "bad boys and bad girls" who practice their hegemony vs simply making proposals for actual research in ... the Cooper case .... and a whole audience of people read and watch and enjoy it like some kind of religion. Maybe it is a religion for some people?

Whatever happened to Ulis' proposal that Cooper landed on Bachelor Island just off the mythical West Path ? Was any searching actually done or was this only a press event? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Proposals are the key to action. Tom & I discussed several proposals yesterday over the phone.

Georger, it really takes some gall for you to post such a bunch of baloney.

"Proposals are key to the world we live in.  Proposals for academic research, books, bank loans and businesses, going to war, .......... everything!  Proposals are hatched between people in Cooperland to out and destroy other people - all done from the anonymity some people enjoy in Cooperland and use to conduct their 'business'."

You are the principal one, and maybe the only one on this site, who insists on absolute anonymity and your insults both on this site and previously on DropZone are evidence that you are the one who is trying to "out and destroy other people".

You frequently end your claims without specific evidence and with the term "more later" and more later never arrives.  You have never been to Tina Bar or done any actual onsite research.  But that doesn't prevent you from insulting people who have done onsite research.  In fact, it is unlikely that you have any qualifications for doing onsite research.  A big mouth is does not make you a researcher.

Your repeated mentioning of "proposals" leads me to ask you a question.  Are you trying to scam someone into providing money to pursue one of your fantasies?

My my = what venom and comedy. Sure. Im trying to scam you that the world is round. And you criticize Smith for believing in ufos. You live in a world of your own evidently. Frankly, I dont give a damn. It's sad but you leave no other option. Enjoy your delusions, I guess. Oh and keep up your personal attacks on everyone . . . complaint filed!

You say: "Are you trying to scam someone into providing money to pursue one of your fantasies? "

No and I resent your idiotic stupid accusation!  When are you going to be held accountable for the things you say?

Your assertion PROVES you know nothing about me - literally!  You should be banned from this forum for saying this.

Buddy: you are crazy.

The question is really when are you going to be held accountable for the things you say.  How many times have you been banned from this site and from DropZone?  I think you hold the record for times banned.

Who?

What suspect drowned in 1969?

Can you please give us a link to the FOIA file? Thanks.

"Jack Scott Farmer" was the guy's name, supposedly. I'll have to read through everything again to get a cohesive story.

I mention it only because I found it entertaining, if you read through everything on Farmer you'll realize the FBI fell into the Cooper vortex hard. They thought Farmer had faked his death, had an alias, or maybe he stole an identity, or that he and his friend faked their death, or that the "friend" didn't really exist and that Farmer was leading a double life... Or something to that effect. It was an extensive investigation too, lots of documents.

BTW, I've had a "proposal" to use freely available genealogical records to find people who match the Gunther suspect's background... for years. It would be labor intensive, with a few thousand names to research, but at the end it would be a falsifiable proposal: either someone matches or doesn't.

So far, no takers. I'm about 10% through the list.

Sorry, but you don't need a "proposal" to use freely available genealogical records.  The only time you need a proposal is when you want someone else to fund your program or do the work for you for free.  Or, if you have the money and want someone else to do the work in return for the cash.

To the best of my knowledge, only the work done by MZ in getting the FBI files released and the analysis of Tom Kaye's tie were supported by funding from others.  The rest of us have done our own "self-proposals" and funded those proposals at our own expense.

And what if you are wrong and lying? What then? An apology? Of course not.

You never apologize or are held accountable for misrepresentations and falsehoods you spread. Shutter removes your posts and sends out warnings, you wait a few days and duck and hide, and are right back in business. There is a word for people like you Nicholson, but if I used it I would be the one getting banned!  Everything you do replies on that principle and its a damned shame . . . its despicable.

So why do you put this out for the public to read!?

" Are you trying to scam someone into providing money to pursue one of your fantasies?"

Are you trying to put ideas in the public's mind about me ... on Shutter's forum at Shutter's expense!?

Who is screwing who here!?  On a free forum you don't pay one cent for.

What you printed and posted is scurrilous! Slanderous. But it rolls out of your mind with ease.

In my whole history on Cooper forums I have never said ANYTHING even remotely close to an accusation like this you are pointing in my direction.

One thing is 100% clear. You are having a profound affect here at this forum on everyone, whether they like it or not, whether they approve of it or not, whether you intended to or not, whether you know it or not, and you owe me and everyone who reads your crap an apology.... whether its true or not!

My bet is you dont even care if its true or not. You are just striking a blow to cause alarm and friction, trying to upset me and anyone close to me, ....... and that is all you care about! Truth is not your concern. Its the damage you can inflict at no cost to you!

You know Mr. Nicholson, you have touched a lot of people's lives today with the slanderous remarks you threw at me on this forum.

You have people concerned by your suggestion that anyone is conducting a "scam" or trying to bilk the public in order to conduct some scam asking for money. You seem to be some kind of an expert on this subject.

We had hoped to make some announcements today about new work being launched, being paid for by ourselves individually.  But now you have diverted and derailed the whole process at this forum, and the days news.

Your remarks carry weight, for better or for worse. Maybe you dont understand that or care.

Maybe Cooper internet forums are not a place where any serious work can ever be conducted. Maybe serious work must be performed privately then released through the news to people on so-called 'Cooper forums'. It's a question several people are wrestling with tonight given Mr Nicholson's remarks today. It's an important question people should now consider, imho.

What are the details you are looking for in this list of names? Age. Physical characteristics. Military service. What would rule someone out and could you possibly do that quickly and whittle down the list to something manageable?

I wish it were that easy, the census does not cover weight, height and eye color. Instead, I am looking at people from NY and NJ from the 1940 census, then looking at available military records, and then searching for obituaries. I'm not looking for money for my "proposal," which I have given to different TV producers, instead I simply need man hours (which might be worse in economic terms).

Have you considered talking to genealogical researchers about this?  Depending on exactly what you are looking for, these genealogical researchers may have online databases that can be used to narrow the "suspects" down to a manageable size.

R99--You're right, I should do that. Hopefully I don't come off as completely nuts.
