Sheridan told Snow

“I spent my life writing draft after draft and ...you have put this unfinished documentary up for sale.â€

Wait a minute here Sheridan. YOU put that exact version up for sale online and that’s how Snow got his copy.

Let Snow continue sell it. It will motivate you to finish. What if you never finish the additional parts? Then there will be only four copies of your unfinished work in existence.

I think we're coming to a meeting of the minds on his new draft.
It's like negotiating something at Versailles.

It's funny, he's like a typical author, arguing he doesn't need corrections/editting, arguing he's been an english teacher and journalist.

Meanwhile, the email has a couple of spelling errors and unclear sentences.

I'm being diplomatic. I learned how to get along with people who have different opinions by frequenting DBC forums

"Why, Cleaver, old boy, I do believe you've overlooked the yield strength on India rubber bands above the 40th parallel. Can I get another quinine please? This reminds me of the time we ran out of both rubber bands and quinine on the Isthmus. I'm sure you appreciate the contribution of my firsthand knowledge?"

Update? I don’t think so Bruce. He wrote the timeless original.

Sorry Marty,  the Sheridan books are already spoken for. If you'd like to read it I can loan mine to you.

I bought a copy of your book at the conference based on Bruce's recommendation. Can't wait to read it. I was aq little disappointed to find the autograph as a stick on label. I'll have to mail it to you for a real on-book signature.

For anyone that is interested, looks like there is a Cooper 20 being sold on eBay. Actually, a fragment of a Cooper 20 would be a more accurate description. I would give a few hundred bucks for it, but it looks like they are trying to get $5000. I'm making an assumption here that this thing is real.

Interesting. I wonder if the seller kept part and is selling the other part? Obviously, someone parted it out at some point.

I wonder if PCGS certification is still valid?

Most currency collected, there's an assumption of whole bill. With Cooper money, that isn't true

I can't imagine you would get another piece certified by PCGS...so how would you sell the other piece?

It gets to be like art...having to id a Ingram serial as the original form

I contacted the seller and told him it looks like something is missing and shared the link with him. Could be that this is how he acquired the bill and whoever had it prior to him took the larger one out. We'll see if I get a response.

Funny that folks are splitting up Cooper twenties trying to double their money. That con won't work here.

Wonder how hard it would be to make fake T Bar twenties out of real currency from that period? I think you'd have to settle for making bills with SNs missing or maybe only one digit showing.

Snow, let's stage a second find somewhere plausible. If we "found" the fake ones near the alleged "fishing boys" site near T Bar it might be credible. Maybe add some precisely mutilated rodents? Cattle were gen 1 demos for alien surgical tech which has since been miniaturized.

Cossey isn't the only joker in town.

I'm really glad to see Snow back in the mix. Does anyone know Farflung's whereabouts? Might he be lured back? His humor and intellect sure added a lot to the Dropzone forum. Wish Sluggo would drop in and say hi.

Apparently, the owner of the ebay fragment does not like being questioned about the missing half:

"Look. This is the second time I've heard this today. If some of the bill is missing, I have no idea where it is. I was given the bill as a retirement gift. I HAVE NEVER TOUCHED THAT BILL."

Whatever. I have no reason to doubt him. No telling how many times that bill has changed hands. I think the link that showed both pieces was from 10 years ago, so there's no telling where the other half is. Then again, it could be hanging on the sellers wall, who knows.

Righteous indignation. Fits the scam profile. But maybe it's true. His description and implied valuation is so smug, nice to see his cage rattled.

"It is the only money from that heist that has ever been recovered. A piece of that money is what you will be bidding on. Don't think you are going to get a piece of American history for nothing because...you won't. I know what that money is worth and you do too. Good luck."

Someone could really mess with Mr. Indignant by selling a photo of the whole bill for a penny on eBay and describing it so it shows up in relevant searches. In the description, the photo seller could reference Mr. Indignant's half bill auction.

Might those mysterious holes in the T Bar bills be connected to alien microcautery lasers? Could they mimic IBM punch card codes? Get the cipher boys on this immediately.

There's something interesting here.

Attached is the snip from the original PCGS picture for L38138140A 1969

look at the serial on the right side (the part that's missing on ebay)
there seems to be another serial number that doesn't match L38138140A

it looks like it ends in 59A

when I zoom in, it seems like it's another bill that was stuck there, that they didn't peel off properly?

Maybe PCGS screwed up originally?
