I see instead of challenging anything mentioned about Kenny other than one attempt but failed he must try to attack my character by trying to use politics. I personally don't judge anyone, especially by who they voted for in elections. it has no reason to be involved with the Cooper case. it's people like Robert who smear and try to destroy people with falsehoods. he attempted to challenge what I wrote recently about Kenny but failed. I showed the inconsistencies in the story surrounding Kenny and corrected the wrongs. he asked earlier why nobody gets along? take a look at his last post. yes, I'm a supporter of what is right and good. isn't that typical of just about everyone, except those who spend a lot of time trying to discredit? if someone needs politics to guide them through life they have more problems than I can deal with. I tend to believe there is no room for politics in many places and shouldn't really be anyone's business to begin with. me, I'll just keep posting away on Cooper related subjects. Kenny falls into that category whether you made the comment surrounding Kenny or someone else. doesn't matter it will be challenged. just like you do with Reca, Rackstraw and especially LD.

Frankly, both of the main threads/sites on Cooper (this place and the place run by a guy in Florida) are becoming a big flat bore.

Possibly due to you constantly using that thread for hatred towards others and going off topic like it's the speakers corner thread on the DZ? this is like the 10th time you said this only to continue posting as if it was never said. you do what you have to do...

If anything, you guys are predictable.... says the most predictable person on the board?

Hello!

Recently a small group of Cooper enthusiasts have created a Discord server to foster productive discussion regarding the DB Cooper case with seasoned researchers of the case.

Q. What is a Discord server?

A. A Discord server allows for seamless discussion via the chat or voice features. Thus far, the discussions have been extremely civil and productive in discussing ideas, theories and suspects. Current members are considering also creating weekly calls where verbal discussion can ensue.

Q. "I'm only interested in a specific part of the case, and I would like to focus my time discussing that aspect."

A. No problem! Discussion occurs in a variety of different "channels", such as the "hijacking-and-jump" and the "duane-weber" channels. This is ideal for Cooperites that prefer to focus on the flight path or a specific suspect.

Q. Is it difficult to join?

A. Not at all! Creating an account takes about a minute, and it doesn't take very long to understand the interface.

If there are any questions, do not hesitate to ask. If this forum is your preferred method of communication, there's absolutely no pressure to join. If anyone is interested in joining, here is the link: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Hope to see you there! :)

Wonder if McDonalds would go into Burger King and pass out coupons?

Usually people that eat at McDonalds enjoy Burger King once in a while as well.

I don't see the harm in opening up the opportunity to be a part of another discussion platform. As I stated in the original post, there is no pressure to join. Just wanted to put the word out....

That makes a little more sense.

However, I only added the supplemental info because Discord is a new medium, as opposed to me setting up a new WordPress website that involves the Cooper case.

There can be 25,000 people on one server before you have to upgrade.

It's not a big deal. just give me a heads up next time..no biggie..

I don't know much about Discord, but it looks to be like a breakout room from the actual DB Cooper Reddit page, a page within a page.  I may be off, but from what I've seen so far it takes the 800 or so people on DB Cooper Reddit, and invites the main people who have a legit interest in the case and some good knowledge (I think I saw Nicky's name and Chaucer and the new young guy Dan that Darren had on his podcast).  So, if it continues and does well, it may simply be a supplement to this board (same guys on Discord that are on here, but with a little more flexibility in what they can say).  It may allow us to add some new younger folks (most of us are over 40, which is old in the digital age).

Reddit attracts all types, and the DB Cooper Reddit can get some clowns here and there (they get banned pretty quickly), but what it does do is open up the case to a larger audience, and allow some newcomers who are not ready for prime time (Shutter's board) to ask some questions.

Without sounding facetious, I see the DB Cooper Reddit as the Junior Varsity version of this board.  Shutter's board is still in my mind the best place for true DB Cooper researchers/investigators, and Shutter has kept out the lower end folks who just have a passing interest.

Bottom line for me is that most publicity for the case is good publicity.  The Rackstraw stuff as jumped the shark as far as I'm concerned, and is now a distraction though.

Jury is still out on Discord and Reddit, but I think we might be able to recruit some new blood off of there.

I believe that every platform that currently exists for case discussion has its own purpose.

---This forum allows the "Varsity" athletes to converse and debate the different facets of the case, using specific knowledge gathered over time.

---The DB Cooper Reddit page gives the hundreds of millions of Reddit users to opportunity to freely ask questions regarding the case, even if they have just a "passing interest".

---The Discord server has the potential for Cooper enthusiasts to quickly exchange information and ideas (think one big DB Cooper group chat). Additionally, Discord opens up the opportunity for a verbal group conversation. Obviously nothing like the The Cooper Vortex, which should continue to hold the monopoly on Cooper podcasts/shows, but more of a casual discussion with people who share the same interest. It is simply going to function as an extension of the DB Cooper research community.
