Recent article about partial DNA and how the FBI has rules against releasing the information if it can be used to target individuals.  They won't release it for a murder case.

I think the problem here is that the FBI obtained the relevant information in an anonymous test of some kind that promised the participants that their identities would never be revealed.

Something I’ve been pondering is how did cooper know so much about the plane and use the expertise level terminology but need a stews help to tell him that look you see this clearly visible lever here on the aft stairs just push it down and viola! That’s not adding up for me logically and since he clearly knew aft stairs can be lowered in flight because he didn’t argue the matter, then what was the advantage of having them lowered on take off? Cooper was so calculated, he did everything deliberately for a reason and I can’t think of one here...the only thing that makes sense to me is that cooper did not want to show his hand so to speak on his aft stairs knowledge...if they complied with his initial request this whole thing about Cooper having this high level 727 intel wouldn’t be one. The Aft stairs run off hydraulics. We got to give cooper all the credit in the world since he pulled of the only perfect crime in the history of them. To me it is clear with the hydraulic tubing dev link I have to the tie particles, cooper was a hydraulics engineer for the 727 and worked on the BOEING SST hydraulic tubing development project. So I’m thinking cooper didn’t want to give a tell to a certain specific aspect of his knowledge and that’s WCWD. What Cooper Would Do.

One explanation, Nicky, for the fact of Cooper's lack of knowledge about lowering the aft stairs but at the same time knowing lots of other stuff about jumping out of a 727, is that he learned all that he knew from first-hand, practical, on-the-job experience. Perhaps he was a commando who always had the aft stairs deployed for him on other missions.

To my knowledge Bruce and I talked to 377 about this if he wants to chime in here, also learned from other research is that they didn’t use a standard 727 in that capacity with aft stairs attached for jumping  or unloading cargo ala air America, it was already modified with the stairs removed and replaced with a ramp which makes sense if your dropping guys out or cargo why have the stairs on it? and there were also better planes available to jump from for an opp then a 727. It was useful for dropping cargo though because of its space and that’s what the cia mainly did with it for AA.

To me it makes perfect sense why cooper asks for stairs down on take off that way nobody would know he knew how the aft stairs worked but then when denied had the need to make himself look dumb so he requesting Tina stay and show and how him how to use them. Same reason why if he did ask the cockpit to lower them from in there it was a also a play. There is no 727 that had a control in the cockpit for the aft stairs. Nobody jumped an unmodified 727 before cooper.

It's my understanding that 727s with standard aft stairs were used in Vietnam. I got that from Everett Johnson, a 727 pilot with World Airways, a CIA contractor.

Mr Smith ... if I go to your Mountain News site and post a test post, can you compare my ip address with that of Johnny Green, and tell the whole world if Georger is Johnny Green ? Yes or No?

Since it matters so much to Blevins, R99/Elvis Ulis ?

TELL ME WHAT URL TO GO TO, AND WHERE YOU WANT ME TO POST,  SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY AT YOUR SITE!

Work is being done last two days at Tina Bar. They sent me some photos. Very nice clear photos of the full expanse of TBar from Cat Isle clear down to the wingdam north of TBar. Probably the best photos ever submitted to any DB Cooper forum hell hole!

A new estimate of the orginal money find coordinate options was made yesterday by  qualified people. Nature of the work and data WILL NOT be released to any forum any time soon.

Some 727s that were owned by CIA front companies were also used in Vietnam.  There is no guarantee that they had standard aft stairs and stairs controls.

Bruce, my ip cannot be Green's ip - unless he lives in my closet ad sneaks into my study to use my computer! This whole thing is a waste of time - but its the kind of thing RMB likes to stir up.

R99, don't you have a pioneer rig? if so, what is the serial numbers on the container...what the National Guard describes sounds like Haydens chute...

I do have an NB6 container and harness plus some secondary parts but not the 26 foot canopy.  I'll dig it out of the garage tomorrow and check it over and let you know.

I purchased this equipment from Ralph Hartley in Portland a number of years ago.  Hartley also told me that Cooper jumped with an NB6 canopy that had the shroud lines sewed into the risers rather than being connected by separable links.  The four risers were then connected to the harness by means of separable links.  This is exactly the way I remember the NB6 parachute that I owned until late 1971.

If anyone reading this has access to an NB6 canopy, can you let us know if it has a serial number showing.  It will probably have a manufacturing date and contract number plus other numbers.  But is there a "serial number"?

NB6 refers to the harness and container only. No such animal as an NB6 canopy but the Navy 26 ft conical canopy was what the Navy generally put in the NB6. My Navy conical (used as a reserve) had DOM, mfr and SN. All printed in ink on the so called data panel.

226 seems like an odd or short serial number. the 302's are a reference. the document surrounding the National Guard is not a document straight from them. crossover data can easily get mixed up...Cossey had a bunch of chutes out of date for repacking?

Looking online it appears some of the containers I found have blank area's where the serial number would go or some marked with a magic marker?
