Money and a large political statement. Thats my guess.

What was the statement then?

Personal and/or You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

The whole period from the 60s through the 70s was a period of tremendous social discontent, nationally and internationally.

In November 1971 I was standing in a line waiting to go into a movie and behind us a group of people including the leader of the local SDS who was also a grad student (from Britain) in the Physics Dept. Lorry Rice and his group were laughing and carrying on (spreading the news!) about some hijacker who had hijacked a plane in Washington, was demanding a large ransom, and was going to parachute out of the plane into the wilderness of Washington. "He's a HERO!" Lorry and his followers exclaimed. The next day we had our usual protest speeches being given on the Pentacrest at UI and Dean Alvin Scaff and I stopped to listen: "DB Cooper he's our hero!", over and over again. Scaff leaned over to me and asked, "who is DB Cooper?" and I replied, "He's the guy who hijacked a plane in Washington last night ..." ... "Oh yes Scaff said", and he smiled. Scaff remarked: "I wonder if he survived"? I replied, "I dont know", and we laughed and went on our way. And now here I am on a DB Cooper forum, all these decades later!

In 1997 my brother was absolutely in awe of these guys: . He thought what they did was GREAT. He hated cops, but only recreationally. That year they were kind of folk heroes, and they fizzled out because they both died violently in a way where we found out who they were. Didn't change that they were just robbing a bank.

Usually when someone is using civil disobedience they specify what they're doing and why. When they take a plane and say "take me to Cuba," it's politically motivated. In Ireland in 1916, the IRA took the General Post Office in Dublin and tried to hold it permanently. That was political. Bank robbers take a bank temporarily and leave when they get the money. Cooper left when he got the money, without making any political statement.

I believe Rataczak when he says he didn't fly off course. I believe Cooper when he said he wanted money. No reason to think otherwise. He made sure I wouldn't by holding his tongue on whatever "grudge" he may have had.

Major Announcements by FLYJACK!

quote:  "BTW: I am super excited to have resolved a 45 year old mystery, not Cooper but another case I have been working on. The affected parties are trying to find an equitable resolution.. At some point it will probably make the news. This one is really cool... "

And on his Cooper Hijacking case:  "Edited 17 hours ago by FLYJACK

People do crazy things... never assume you know what somebody would do or not do, she did ask for some ransom money and handled it. Tina handled the only known money to be separated from the ransom,,, until TBAR. I am sure she has a good explanation for the bulge in her coat pocket that looks like packets of money."

< Didn't FJ previously say in many posts, that all of the stews were given Cooper ransom money" ?>

"Coat, deep left front pocket,, she has her hand in there in one pic and a bulge in the other pic.. a money packet is 0.5" thick. I don't think that any of the crew was "involved" in the hijacking.  I am just exploring a theory,,,  that Tina didn't return the money to Cooper and kept it, she or somebody close to her discarded it into the Columbia R around 1978/79 when she resided several miles upstream of TBAR.. money washed up on TBAR. There would have been nothing wrong with taking the money from Cooper, it has happened in other hijackings.. but it was returned. Maybe, it just never came up.. Everyone just accepted Tina's story about returning the money, to me it sounds sketchy. Only two people know the truth, Cooper and Tina. Today, the FBI would never just accept that story.. back then they put Tina on a pedestal and used her testimony to guide the case, big mistake if she was compromised."

"Everyone just accepted Tina's story about returning the money, to me it sounds sketchy. Only two people know the truth, Cooper and Tina."

<But, FJ very clearly said previously, that Cooper gave all of the stews money!         That means other stews were witnesses and saw these events!  >

Or not.

Stay tuned for FJ's next revised revision of the 'stews were given money by Cooper' story. Updated daily at Dropzone.

The FLYJACK Tina/Cooper Money Theory:

* Tina and Cooper were lovers. Met when Cooper was a janitor in Tina's high school back in Pennsylvania.
* Tina responsible for the money plant at Tina Bar.
* Tina was given money by Cooper on the plane - evidence is bulging pocket in Tina's coat pocket seen in post high jacking photo at Reno.
* Tina knows the fate of DB Cooper due to her personal relationship with him.
* Tina was co-conspirator with Dan Cooper in the Cooper skyjacking.
* Tina confided to Rataczak and FBI she and Dan Cooper had a prior relationship.
* FBI knows Tina was co-conspirator in the DB Cooper hijacking.

There will be more Tina Mucklow - Frederick Wm Hahneman (DB Cooper) revelations. Presented by the famous crime solver expert: FLYJACK aka BULLJAX.

UPDATE:

FJ retorts from another forum:

"No Georger, pay attention,,,  maybe, you might solve something. You got the timeline completely screwed up before when I laid it out earlier.

The evidence indicates the other stews were OFFERED ransom money (packets) much later as they left.. not that they took it..

Cooper was alone with Tina for some time.. when she took the money and claimed to return it and after the other stews left the plane.

BTW,, Tina claimed she handed back the money claiming it was against company policy,, then later Cooper offered the other stews ransom money and all of them a measly tip, if Tina told Cooper no gratuities then why did he offer it again.
Edited 57 minutes ago by FLYJACK "

More pending an announcement from . . . Tina's coat ?  On "AS FLYJACK TURNS" seen daily on the Blevins & Derek Zone.  GEORGER PAY ATTENTION!

I've had numerous people on numerous occasions try tipping me after the first refusal. that means nothing. he wanted to pay with a twenty right off the bat for the drink and had to wait till Flo got more money from the other passengers. looking a photo and believing a bundle of ransom is seen is outrageous. might as well say the plane flew over the ocean because Rat said it and wanted to do it...

This gets back to Tina, there might be an issue..publicly accusing someone of a crime with shady evidence is a huge gray area.

I can see very clearly that Bill Rataczak is hung like a Clydesdale, too. Based on the fabric and the lighting, I think I can match him to a masked Luchador/Pornstar from the 70's. Mystery solved. Nice work, Fly.

I really had to go to DZ to believe what I just read posted above.  I literally see nothing but fabric on Tina's coat, and cannot imagine a world where Tina went to a press conference surrounded by FBI with $2k to $6k in her pocket. HOW anyone can look at either of those pictures and extrapolate that there's an outline of thick cash in the fabric without actually showing itself...Fly, you may have just officially overthought the Cooper Case. Take up fly fishing or some other more relaxing hobby. I say this in a friendly manner, because I like you. You seemed like a good dude.

Her job was to insure the safety of those on the plane. it's bad enough with someone who threatens to blow her up along with everyone else and then decide to take money. why even mention it as a joke. it draws attention if one is guilty.

to attempt anything like this type of accusation calls for an actual interview to get to know her and really dig into her past. reading a view documents isn't going to tell all..this is how they structure suspects sometimes...similarities and he's guilty...lots of people are in prison that don't belong because of things like this..

Boy Rhino Jack in Tarantino, Cananada reports:

FLYJACK
#61742

Let's count Georger's lies, he is incapable of reason so he always resorts to lies..

per Georger.. The FLYJACK Tina/Cooper Money Theory:

* Tina and Cooper were lovers. Met when Cooper was a janitor in Tina's high school back in Pennsylvania. LIE
* Tina responsible for the money plant at Tina Bar. LIE
* Tina was given money by Cooper on the plane  TRUE - evidence is bulging pocket in Tina's coat pocket seen in post high jacking photo at Reno. MAYBE, there is other evidence
* Tina knows the fate of DB Cooper due to her personal relationship with him. LIE
* Tina was co-conspirator with Dan Cooper in the Cooper skyjacking. LIE
* Tina confided to Rataczak and FBI she and Dan Cooper had a prior relationship. LIE
* FBI knows Tina was co-conspirator in the DB Cooper hijacking. LIE

There will be more Tina Mucklow - Frederick Wm Hahneman (DB Cooper) revelations. Presented by the famous crime solver expert: FLYJACK aka BULLJAX.  LIE

Lies, lies, lies...  why does Shutter put up with your crap... you are toxic to his forum and the case in general.

Seven lies out of eight claims...  over a decade into the Cooper case and you've got nothing, accomplished nada.. but stale case knowledge (you can't even get the facts straight) and lies to protect your fragile ego..

It occurred to me a while back that Cooper wore shades for the duration of a hijacking. If it was me, I would want to see every detail of everything going on ahead of me. I mean, how could he tell if anyone was tiptoeing around up in first class when he glanced below the curtain?

Which leads me to ask: how likely is it that they were plain sunglasses versus prescription? A prescription comes with a person attached to it.

I've come across several references to a study done in 1971 that showed that 18 million Americans owned Prescription Sunglasses, which is roughly 9% of the population. Assuming that most of them are older, this increases the proportion of Cooper's age group who would own them. Let's say...20%? Rough guess?

So stats say it's probably a one in five that Coop owned script shades, and given that he took on a hijacking I'm betting he was wearing a pair. One of the stews got that feeling, too.

ID his shades in 1971 and with a little footwork you can close in on him.  So does anyone know if they were able to come close to positively ID'ing the brand? Shutter, you did some nice work finding info on the tie clip.

I would try and contact the guy who made the bust of John List...he picked the exact glasses he was wearing 18 years after the crime...he did it right by digging deep into his background...don't know if he would help or not.

Rataczak made the statement about using the ladder in the cockpit to escape but said Cooper could see them. I believe the curtains were open until Tina closed them after being sent to the cockpit..

Cooper didn't have his sun glasses on all the time initially.  But he did keep them on after he started being carefully observed by the stews.
