I think it is important to address a few things here with respect to the 2019 CooperCon.
In fact, I have discussed hosting the 2019 CooperCon at the popular facilities owned and operated by Jim Brunberg in Portland. Moreover, Jim has made me an offer that would be foolish to pass up--although, nothing has been finalized.
Jim and I have discussed the angst that exists between certain parties in the Cooper Vortex. Neither one of us has any patience for it or has any interest in dealing with it. It's really as simple as that.
Jim and I agree that the paramount objective must be to organize a DB Cooper event that is worthy of the legend. This means crafting a 2019 CooperCon that is at once educational and entertaining. Furthermore, that CooperCon is an event that is worthy of the city of Portland and the city of Vancouver.
To that end, as the founder and organizer of CooperCon, I am committed to creating a spectacular 2019 CooperCon. My hope and expectation is to have an event this year that brings in north of 500 people. In order to successfully accomplish this task I am going to use my better judgement and the sage guidance of a few others to build CooperCon from the ground up utilizing my experience from last November as a firm foundation.
I welcome all constructive input. To that end, I may be contacted via email at eric (at) thecoopercase (dot) com.
Cheers!
EU: "as the founder and organizer of CooperCon" ---Can you be any more condescending and self-promoting? Isn't this just an extension of past conferences? For someone who just came on the scene in June, you've spent a lot of energy trying to get your name in the papers. You've solved the case (Sheridan), found the real spot of the money find, and are now running for Mayor of Cooperland.
I'm all for a conference, but it seems every time I read about a conference, I see your name attached to it and in most cases Sheridan Peterson. Is this about the case and the man who parachuted out of a plane, or is it about you? Do you think we will see any articles about the conference that don't have your name and/or Sheridan's attached to them? I guess any publicity for the case is good, but some seem to forget that it was not them who lept from that 727.
